April 28 - the rosebud

it is just a rosebud
but somehow, it is more enchanting,
more promising then the others --
I see it in more beauty, more promise
then all the others in the garden.
a swirl of pastel pink and white
it is so lovely. when this one blooms,
it will be my favorite.

April 29 - Hang on tight

it seemed like the end,
and you said no more. You'd had enough
anguish; it only got worse.
You beat yourself down until
there was nothing left, told yourself lies
about how awful life was, how
helpless you were. You couldn't see then
the person you really were; wonderful, lovely,
talented and great.

it may seem like the others
are reaping the happiness,
but they'll all cried too.

It's not the end, and you have a life to live,
to enjoy.

April 30 - all that time

life is short, you see --
all of it has passed in a flash
too quick. When you laughed, you created
a memory, more dear then you realized
at that point in time. You've come to realize
that life goes fast. When memories, fond to you
beg to be made, you oblige, because
life is short, you see.
