So I haven't been on here in a while, but I hope to become more active on YWS again soon. I know that I am late for NaPoWriMo but I hope to write thirty poems before the month is up even if I have to write two a day.

Cherry Blossom Summer

Somehow you have transformed my summer,
and turned it into a spring I have yet
to understand.

For twenty thousand years I have lived, submerged
in a world so dark, so cold, that I thought all
was lost. And then you reached down from the heavens
and took my hand.

Your fingers kiss mine, how sweet, how pale, how pink and
soft they are. I hold them in my hand, and admire their
beauty, a beauty that only a god can create.

Birds spread their gilded wings, and fly around you, singing
words of praise. You are a sign that the worst is over, and
that we have not succumbed to a frigid fate.

I could stay in your arms forever. I could die in the presence
of your breath, but forever is such a very long time, so long
that it will have to end.

Soon winter will come and freeze away all the beauty, and soon
your petals will float away in the wind.
True love, in all it’s celestial charm, and
star-crossed ways, only exist in a writer’s
mind, for humans have not yet learned
how to manifest it.

Lol. Thanks! It feels great to be back. *hugs*

For Nessie

Your lips are wilting petals, forever pulling down,
down, down, your eyes the shade of the sky, as
the rain pours from the heavens. You say you
are fine, but even when you say this, I know
that you are lying. Because your words
are see through, just like your bones and
skin and flesh. I can see your heart, just
as well as I can see the truth in the lies
that you speak. Let me help you, let me
pull the sun from behind the clouds, so that
it's rays can cleanse all the sorrow from
your eyes, your voice, your body. I don't want
to lose you to heartbreak. Just let me help
you.

Please.
True love, in all it’s celestial charm, and
star-crossed ways, only exist in a writer’s
mind, for humans have not yet learned
how to manifest it.

Your Love is like the Sun

Your love is like the sun,
it changes with the day
Sometimes it is blissful and young
Other times it just drifts away
Your heart is like glass
And if I don't handle it with care
It will never last
That, my love, is my only fear
If you leave, I will watch you go
Off you walk into the sunset
Taking with you the man I used to know
The man whose heart, whose love, I will never forget
Shall the roads you take, be easy to cross
Shall you cherish all that was lost
True love, in all it’s celestial charm, and
star-crossed ways, only exist in a writer’s
mind, for humans have not yet learned
how to manifest it.

That awkward moment when you jump out a window because your friend jumped out a window, then you remember that your other friend can fly.
