The challenge: I provide 3 different, wordless songs for you to choose from. You write lyrics to one of them.
The judging will be based on:
-How well the lyrics fit into the tune rhythmically: 10 possible pts
-How good the lyrics are as a stand-alone poem: 10 possible pts
-How well the lyrics fit the mood of the tune: 5 possible pts
-Rhyming (most songs have a rhyme scheme): 3 possible pts*
And finally, 2 extra points will be awarded to anyone with the tenacity to attempt to sing their lyrics to their chosen tune. It will not matter how good this singing is, just that they attempted it.
*note the rhyming has a lower point total than how good the lyrics are as a stand-alone poem. This is because not all songs rhyme, and I don't want anyone to have rhymes telling their lyrics what to do. Basically, content is more important than rhyme
Prizes:
Everyone who enters this contest will receive a donation of points based on the judging points. The highest amount of points it is possible to receive is 30 points. This is because I do not have infinite points. But that means everyone is a winner!
In addition to these points, the first place winner will receive 3 reviews, the second place winner will receive 2 reviews, and the third place winner (you guessed it) will receive 1 review.
Deadline: All entries must be in by 10/24/13. The results will be out a few days after.
The songs: (Notice, I used three different sites in case one of them doesn't work for you.)

This one, titled "Forfortis" was made by our beloved @TommySneak

And finally, This tune is titled "picardy." You may know it. It is a 17c tune that is used for some hymns.
