Hello everyone,

The staff members of You Are Not Me are excited to announce that our submissions are open for the first time ever! You Are Not Me is a brand-new, digital literary magazine created and staffed by students, so we figured that this board would be an appropriate place to post our call for submissions. We are looking to publish poetry, fiction, and narrative nonfiction that brings a new perspective to issues involving humanity, hope, isolation, and - especially - identity. You can check out our website https://you-are-not.me for more details, or comment here with any questions.

The editors at You Are Not Me will review works of poetry, fiction, and narrative nonfiction emailed to submissions@you-are-not.me. Submitted works should be complete and no more than 3500 words (fiction/nonfiction) or 45 lines (poetry). Please review our submission guidelines at https://you-are-not.me/about/submit.php for more information on how to format submissions. Anyone over the age of 13 is eligible to submit work for potential publication.

We look forward to seeing your submissions.

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
