Two years ago I would have said pencil, but since I got my laptop I'm computer all the way. Things stay much more organized, you don't have messy and annoying smuding, papers don't fall out and get lost, and the amount and ways you can edit it are endless.

Same thing as Dragongirl. When I write a story, I write it down in a paper and when I'm typing it, I might have mistakes which my computer can solve. ^.^ Makes work easier since you've got everything planned out.
The thing is, both have disadvantages. You may loose you papers and also you may loose your files. Both are okay, but I still prefer pencil.Computer can be a lot of strain.
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.
You won't lose anything if you back things up four times each like I do Although I suppose you could lose a chapter or two if you lost it in between backing things up, since I only back things up every week or so. But I lost twice as much with papers as with crashes, so I don't think about it.

Keyboard all the way, for otherwise I find myself unable to write effectively, constantly shortening sentences due to the fact that I hate writing by hand.
Pencil when I'm first creating the story, and then I type it all onto my laptop for when I need it later. But I definately prefer the pencil over the keyboard.
I'm not a very fast typer, and so I usually write out my ideas. My story feels more personal when I am holding a pencil in my hand. If I really like one of my poems or stories, I'll type it out so that it is easier to share.
