You should read "The Story of Tracy Beaker" by Jacqueline Wilson. Also, The Dare Game, Starring Tracy Beaker and Tracy Beaker's thumping Heart. They're all good, but only because it's Tracy Beaker books
Hollowland - Amanda Hocking Ethereal - Addison Moore Letters to Elise - Amanda Hocking My Blood Approves - Amanda Hocking Firelight - Sohpie Jordan Halo - Zizou Corder
All of these are on my list of best books. They're all teenage girl books. Try them out!
"For whether a place is a hell or a heaven rests in yourself, and those who go with courage and an open mind may find themselves in Paradise." - Eva Ibbotson (Journey to the River Sea)
"The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly." ~ Richard Bach
Recent reads: Slaughterhouse Five - Kurt Vonnegut Catch 22 - Joseph Heller Cryptonomicon - Neal Stephenson The Awakening - Kate Chopin (for school)
All had some degree of merit (except The Awakening, that was terrible) and Cryptonomicon is just first class entertainment. For anyone new to cyber/cypherpunk, try Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash, it's a classic.
A lie can run around the world before the truth has got its boots on. - Terry Pratchett
Si non confectus, non recifiat - If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
John Dies at the End is my new favorite book. It is an excellent mix of paranoia inducing horror, and the vulgar humor used in films like "Clerks". I cannot wait for the second book to come out now.
"Can't break an omelette without making a few eggs"

There is no such thing as a stranger. Only friends we haven't met yet.
Uh, Lisa, the whole reason we have elected officials is so we don't have to think all the time. Just like that rainforest scare a few years back: our officials saw there was a problem and they fixed it, didn't they? — Homer Simpson
