So I'm putting this post in here because I'm not really sure where it fits.

I'm writing about a couple in my novel, the boy is 16 and the girl is 21. I'm wondering how the rest of the people in my book are going to react to it.

What does everyone else think? Is it gross? Is age but a number?

Very grateful for replies.

Eimear :)

Id think the characters n the story might resent them so ya...I think its kinda wierd but at the same time age is just a number...
We've all been broken in some way. It's just how we express it that makes us dffrent form eachother.

I think that the age-gap is pretty big.
5 years is the difference between the boy being 'another kid' and the girl being alive during the Cold War.

I think the characters would likely be pretty shocked by the age difference.
I wouldn't go as far as Ambercoultis and say they'd 'resent' them, but I do believe there would be an underlying negativity in their manner towards said couple.
But then again, the beauty of writing is that you're in control, so just go with what feels best for you!

in my opinion, i think the age is not number because if two people love each other, everything will become possible. however they would meet some problems or stress which are come from their families or friends. i think that is not a big problem because you can figure them out , you are a director.anyway, just write the way you like it.
I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you

This looks like a really bad episode of Green Acres.
