I am a newly converted Pastafarian, and am utterly shocked at this recent revalation which I felt I just had to bring to everyone's attention; I know what's causing global warming, it's because of pirates!!!

As the number of pirates have declined dramatically since 1820, global temperatures have gone up.

You can see from this graph:

Image

It has to be true, it's a graph.

Now, as a Pastafarian, I believe that the reason for this is because pirates are very important to our religion; man was created from pirates by the FSM (Flying Spaghetti Monster) and so are highly revered. The FSM is very displeased at the lack of pirates, and so sends floods and hurricanes to show this.

We must do something to help balance things out right away; as a Pastafarian, I will be paying homage to the FSM by wearing a pirate hat and saying 'yar' as often as possible, especially on Fridays, as well as eating lots of pasta and meatballs and drinking beer, for this also greatly pleases The FSM, praise Him and His Noodly Appendage.

I challenge anyone to find a better explanation.
Everywhere I go I'm asked if I think the university stifles writers. My opinion is that they don't stifle enough of them. There's many a bestseller that could have been prevented by a good teacher. ~Flannery O'Connor

Ah-ha! I knew the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy was really an environmentalist film!

So, can Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner be the mascots of anti-global warming? :D

I'm assuming there's a male stripper factory as well, since it didn't specify. ;-)

I am embracing my pastafarianism whole heartedly from now on; I have seen the light.

Does anyone know how to make a pirate's eyepatch?
