I think YWS is in need of a tradition. YWS is in need of a new sense of individuality...

How about a holiday...

I propose we mark the calenders on the last day of every month as Necropost Day. On this holiday we will find the oldest post possible - one or two years - and critique it all over again, bumping it back up in the threads. This will get a piece re-read and re-enjoyed and will be a pleasent surprise for the Writer who is Necroposted...

I HEARBY DECREE, BY THE POWER VESTED IN ME AS A YOUNG WRITER, THAT ON THE LAST DAY OF EVERY MONTH, ALL TRUE WRITERS WILL UNITE AND PARTICIPATE IN THE NECROPOST HOLIDAY.

So let it be written, so let it be done.

Nobody important... :D. I was pretty wired at the time I posted this. Thinking about taking it off the forums... How do you delete a topic?

Heehee.

Why Necropost? Sounds pretty... goth?

The bumping idea isn't a bad one, it would be good to see old posts put to the front, rekindle old arguments, but I can't see how this would be implemented.

Ofour: Like any new trends... If you start doing it yourself at the end of this month, mentioning it maybe in your post, people will become curious. Sooner or later they're going to wonder about "necropost thingiemajig" that everyone keeps talking about and get interested. Maybe they will even start doing it themselves. The only catch... someones has to get the snowball rolling. Which would be people like me and you who actually know about it. Get what I'm saying??? If you have any suggestions let me Know!!!! :D

This isn't exactly cool...

It's like digging up dead bodies: I actually hate seeing my old-and-buried writing being pulled up, certainly not the ones that suck! If I want something to be read, I'll ask people xD But I have old and bad stuff floating around....

This is true, but at the same time it could be good in that it will be an eye opener: you can look at it and literally see how far you've come, where previously you might have been thinking you werent progressing. It might also inspire you to re-write, so I'm all for it, however mortifying it might feel to me at the time...

You have my sinister agreement.
