I once had a student who did that all the time -- never knew any of the answers. He was hysterical. But wrong hahah and got marked off accordingly so at midterms he was like "so, hypothetically speaking, what would happen if I paperclipped $20 to this test when I hand it in?"
And I go "I would be $20 richer, and you would get the grade you deserve."
And he's like "Got it. See? This is why it's important to plan your experiment before you conduct it, ayoooo"

(got so many cute sketches and also a ton of awful sketches with "this was supposed to be a ___" notes attached xD)

Some kids come up with wild guesses for that one hahah
