Why do I need to do a demonstration? I just don't really have an idea how it works in America...

Don´t look at the Americas. Look at the most civilised country in the world - North Korea New Zealand.

Now that's a laugh... but why do I need a demonstration? What do I want?

With demonstrations, you prepare to gather supporters and also to show your points, which makes you unhappy. Afterwards, when you have passed on your ideas to many more, you can start a revolution to fight corruption or whatever. Just don´t be like Putin.
