Fortunately, we've been arguing over this so long that the pancakes are now spoiled and if anyone does happen to eat us, it will only mean a horribly upset stomach.

unfortunately so much crap is dumped into food now a days that you could mummify someones organs. So the pancakes stay, perfect and edible as long as you do not look at the ingredients.
Self quoting is the key to sounding wise and all knowing.
