I'd recommend the Demonata series. It isn't actually superpowers, but they can do pretty much anything with magic. A bit crudely written, but not bad at all. It was intended that way... I think.
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

Like, how super?
I know books with people who can drink poison, gain a things memories by eating its flesh, and spit acid...not that they do that all the time though...

Oh, the House of Night Series is good. So here are some of my recommendations:

The Faerie Path series by Frewin Jones
Abarat by Clive Barker

There is a really good site that has lists of their favorite books. I read them and they are all really good. I think the site was:

Night, did you just recommend Meg Cabot to a teenage boy? :D

Hmmm, I know you like Alex Rider, so perhaps you would like the Pendragon series by D.J MacHale?

They are action packed and very witty. Thought I normally spurn young adult literature, I love this series.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians.:)

The first book in the series is called The Ligning Thief. It's by Rick Riordan.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

One of the best superpower book ever! So original and so good. I highly suggest this one!!!!

And~
Harry Potter of course.
Maximum Ride (so good)
Any of Neil Gaiman's books
The Abhorsen series by Garth Nix
The City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale(a very good book, you possibly could like it. About elemental beings.)
The His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman.

And you really should read the Book Thief. It is one of the best books ever written!

Peace, Love and Sugar Packets~
