Ah! You need to read Looking For Alaska by John Green--it's really sweet as a romance, but has a little more "depth" to it.

Also, check out the Georgia Nicolson books by Louise Rennison. They're hysterical, and there are plenty of boys to be had. ^_~

The Truth About Forever By Sarah Dessen
Pride and Prejudice By Jane Austen

Oh yeah, Looking For Alaska is a great book.
True love, in all it’s celestial charm, and
star-crossed ways, only exist in a writer’s
mind, for humans have not yet learned
how to manifest it.

I've read too many books, egh. Hm, romance books. I recommend the Apple Vally Orchard series, but I don't remember who wrote them. I guess you could google that! Also, I recommend the Birth of Venus by Sarah Dunant to almost everyone - though it is a very adult-themed book.

If you are looking for a light hearted romance book I would reccomend anything by Freya North (Pillow Talk is probably the best) otherwise I am not sure, I don't really read romance that much!
Bag.

Meg Cabot writes a lot of romances. Her Princess Diaries series is hilarious. She also writes romance/fantasy-ish stuff. I'm not sure if that's what you are looking for or just romances but I enjoy her books. :)

Wicked Lovely is a really good paranormal romance. It's more complex than just girl-falls-for-paranormal-guy thing. It's about fairies. Really good. :)

I'm a big historical fiction fan, so I love all of Philippa Gregory's books. The Other Boleyn Girl is simply phenomenal.
