My 5th grade teacher read those books to them. We didn't make it past Among the Enemy, though. That book was amazing. The whole series was amazing. My favorite was Among the Brave with Trey. That was cool

These were my favorite books in the 6th grade! I was sucked in. She continues to be one of my favorite authors. I'm glad others are enjoying those books as well.

I think these books were really great, but I lost interest as the story progressed. I felt like it was just dragging on, and stopped reading them.

But I still love Haddix' writing.

I read them obsessively when I was in grade school. "Among The Hidden" is a very well-written book, partly because of the sympathy Luke gets as being a Third Child. The ending was practically heartbreaking. I still can't believe Jen died. I got as far as Among The Barons. Then I grew out of it.

Grade for overall Series: B

the first book was the best, but still the overall story line for the series wasn't too boring for me

Loved the series ever since I stumbled across it. Favorite? Among the Betrayed and Among the Hidden and ... uh, well, all of them. Every few months or so I'll check out the series from my library and read and reread until I've practically got them memorized. Ah, good times.

Have you read Haddix's new book?

I haven't read her new book but the ones in Among the Hidden series are awesome. We started to read it in class one time then the people got bored so we switched to another book. It was a complete load of crap. I saw the book at my friend's house the first time I slept over and kind of kept telling her to shut up til I finished it. She was amazingly nice about it. :)

Recently read Among the Free. Amazing story. I kind of admired Luke after that...

I read this book when I was 11 and I bawled my eyes out. I found it slightly disturbing.

Perhaps I was just a sensitive kid though. The part about wiping up the blood from the sidewalk before morning though.... yeesh.
How am I not myself?

I had to read Among The Hidden in the 6th grade for my teacher. I was the fastest reader in the class and she needed someone to get through the book and give her a review on it so she could see if it was good enough for the class to read.

Yeah, I read it in 7th grade. I liked it pretty well.
