It's absoloutely brilliant. This is my 7th time reading it and i can't get enough. I always end up crying when Krecher tells his tale, it just makes me so sad! I can't wait to see the next movie and compare to the book!

really good book that one. can't say i cried at all but i did enjoy it. i'm not a fast reader so it probably took me more than twice what it took anyone else. definatly the best book and a good one to end the saga.

I watched a documentary on J.K Rowling, ('A Day In The Life Of J.K Rowling') and she said on there that she was confident that she'd done alright with the book, which she said she'd had written books and not felt like that. so it is a good book. but like everyone else, i won't spoil it by telling what happens in the end. you'll have to find out for yourselves.

I adore this book! I bought it when I was in the Acores because I just couldn't wait to read it(even thought it was $$$) I cried SO much when Snape died. WAY too many people died and it was so tragic! I could barely read it at times due to the sadness it provoked in me :( But overall amazing book! I think my favourite part is when Ron saves Harry in chapter 18 or 19..

KILL ME NOW!!!
That's how I felt when I finished. Like: you can't do that, it's not fair, what will I do without Harry Potter?
This is a spoiler because if you haven't read the book, it'll spoil everything.
Spoiler! :
I cried. And I cried. And I cried. When Hedwig died. When Moody died. When Kreacher told his tale. When Dobby died. When Fred died. When Lupin and Tonks died. When Snape died. When Colin Creevey died. When Harry walked to his own death. When Hagrid carried him out of the forest and they all thought he was dead. When I closed the book. That is how emotionally attached I am to the characters and to the story.

Harry Potter changed my life.
I just can't express how brilliant this book was. Not a book. MY ENTIRE LIFE.
You probably all think I'm crazy now. Crazy and way too obsessed. But it's the truth of it: I will never get over the pure awesomeness and tragedy of this series.
HARRY POTTER RULES!!!
The POTATO of DOOM

A thousand times it calls your name
A thousand times you hear it
And fools are those who heed its call
But fools are those who fear it.

IgnisandGlacialis: If your crazy then I'm insane. Harry Potter is what I dream about at night. I wish SO badly that I could be Hermione or Ginny or ANYONE in the book! I just want to feel like I'm a bigger part of the story! I want to be a wizard and this book is SO real in my mind ! Plus, I want to go to Harry Potter world, but that's never going to happen! I wish that when I turn 16 someone will come to my door and be like "It's not like the movies, really when you turn 16 we tell you!"...I think I'd cry.

I loved it! I cried when tonks, lupin, and george (or was it fred?) died. I loved the part where Harry's in the pond during december, and ron pulls him out, and was like, 'Are you a bloody idiot?' I was like, 'RON!!!!' and woke the whole house up at midnight *oops*. Had to be one of J.K. Rowling's best pieces, cuz I loved it, and I am aiming to be a critic/ writer. I liked the epilouge, too, and think they should have a 'Harry Potter: The Next Generation' sorta thing.

Okay!

So, when I was coming up with the Completely Evil Radio show, I really wanted to have a monologue contest between some of the more evil characters. So I picked Darth Vader, Prince Humperdink, and... you guessed it! Lord Voldemort. Anyway, I really wanted to come up with a cheesy monologue for Voldemort, because I think he is a whiney-pants. In fact, I am not sure how he could have forced anybody to do anything for him (as mentioned in the book) because he is a complete and utter whiney-pants. But I digress. I wanted to write a cheesy monologue for Voldemort, so I decided to look in the Deathy Hallows.

Now, I read the Deathly Hallows really fast because I wanted to see what happens.

SPOILER ALERT: HARRY LIVES.

Anyway, so I read it really fast to the point where I knew what happened and I didn't have to actually engage myself in the dialogue. I read it so fast that it was more like a cliff notes version, actually, lol. Anyway, I went to the ending, where he was actually talking with Harry Potter, figuring that I could use the general gist and make it ridiculous for my radio show.

I didn't have to...

I mean, this is what was written:

Dumbledore’s favorite solution, love, which he claimed conquered death, though love did not stop him falling from the tower and breaking like an old waxwork? Love, which did not prevent me stamping out your mudblood mother like a cockroach...

ETC., ETC., ETC. The monologue is much longer than this and has Voldemort's eyes glowing red, etc.

For several minutes, all I could do was stare at the story. And then total laughter ensued. It was so HILARIOUS.

I do like parts of it. The patronus doe was pretty cool. And Snape was definitely my favorite character... though I liked Narcissa too. But most of the deaths seemed either stupid or completely unnecessary. Take Hedwig. Harry is going away. Hedwig can fly. So... um... LET HEDWIG FLY AWAY FROM YOU. But no. Unnecessary death alert!

Also, some of the deaths that should have happened didn't. Let's be honest... as heartbreaking as it was for one of the Weasley twins to die in the Grand Epic Battle Which Was Somehow In Hogwarts For Some Unknown Reason Since Apparently Hogwarts Is The Center Of The Universe, it was kind of a stupid death. I would have much preferred that they simply disappeared after having their radio show. That would have been sooooo much more cooler since it would be typical of the actual deaths that happen with people who make revolutionary talk. And, while you're at it, make the entire Weasley family disappear (except for Ron). After all, Fred and George really made no secret that they were doing this, and Harry said that they were clearly distinguishable on the air. Plus, radio is kind of... well... for everyone. The other side could have totally listened to it. But NO. Heartbreaking and horrifying disappearance is Not Okay because it doesn't allow the Weasleys to be in the Grand Epic Battle.

I also thought it was kind of cool for Luna's dad to try to turn in Harry like that. It would have been awesome if he could have succeeded.

On another note, Bellatrix totally needs to get laid. Seriously? Come on, lady. He's not that hot.

Whats up with that Prokaryote? :?:

Snoink: I like the villians you chose!! :) Although, personally I don't think of Darth Vador as a villian because he IS/was Anakin (Hayden Christensen) :P

LOL Prince Humperdink is just a really bad last name :P

Dumbledore’s favorite solution, love, which he claimed conquered death, though love did not stop him falling from the tower and breaking like an old waxwork? Love, which did not prevent me stamping out your mudblood mother like a cockroach...

Creative.. :smt002 Are you just making a radio broadcast for fun ?

Spoiler! :
If your getting into technicalities, Dumbledore was already dying because of the horcrux. He chose Snape to kill him (SNAPE DIDN'T WANT TO!!) so that he could get his wand. Unfortunetly, he didn't end up with the wand..blablabla. But in actual fact, love is very powerful and Dumbledore was just foolish when he put on the ring :(

I completly agree. :D Ummmm... Prokaryote? :| Just no. This was the best book EVAH! (eccept for the maximum ride series, which i HIGHLY reccomend, and I do love HP, but Max is just too addicting.) :) Funny little tid bit: I used to have a HUGE gushy crush on Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliff.
