Welcome to Squills, the YWS news bulletin.

This thread is the equivalent of a YWS newspaper, with each post in this thread being a news article. The focus of this paper is on the happenings of YWS at any given day, but members are welcome to submit their own news items. Keep in mind that all postings must comply with the YWS rules.

Submissions will be taken over the span of the day. Tomorrow, this thread will be locked and a new one will take its place. This feature runs M-F, and on special occasions.

Squills Started

Squills has been a part of YWS for a very long time. It's original form was an e-zine. They were quite elegant and beautiful. All of this made them very difficult to produce them on a regular basis. After years of inactivity, it is being revived.

In this particular form, it is more like a community newspaper. Over the next few days we will be inviting more members to write about the things on the site that matter to them. My personal favorite will be adding comics to the Squills Updates.

Things are slow now, but momentum is building up.

Server Problems Continue for YWS

Following two server crashes, Nate posted a thread about them. The server crashes are the latest in a string of issues that Nate has been having with the server provider. Next month, Nate plans to switch to a different provider, which will hopefully be more reliable.
