*this is something new that I wrote late last night, tell me what you think!*

The sky was crying, helplessly. While the wind scattered its creamy clouds, the melting of the perfect shade of blue turned to a hard cool color of grey. The thunder screamed, as the lighting flashed it's burning light. The burning light that I was somehow attracted to. My dad and I where riding in the midst of a great thunder storm. The rain was coming down so hard everything around us was a blur. The car was our save haven, warm with delightful soft music leaking from the radio.

There was a dead silence between us, not that we could hear each other over the thunder anyways. But there was always that silence between us. The silence I wish I could break. But I couldn't break it, only it could break me. Shatter my heart into tiny fractals as they scatter through my body. Only if my dad knew how I felt, maybe then we would be closer. But he doesn't know, and he will never know, because he just doesn't care.

The crackle of extremely loud thunder jostled me. Then there was a quick flash and I waited, ready. Ready for another loud boom. The storm had made me more alert, and more scared. I could sense something was wrong, and from the look on my dad's face I knew he could sense it too.

At that moment I had the sudden urge to open the old trucks door and jump out. My hand tingled with an odd sensation of what it was about to do. If I did jump what would I be giving up? A careless dad, the empty space my mother left, and the cold dark hole of a house we live in. Not much to lose.

My fingers fumbled to push up the lock, my hand ready on the handle. I closed my eyes looking at the black that poured before for my sunken lids. This is all this will ever be, a black bottomless pit of my broken self. The thunder fed me the courage to open the door. I pushed it open and stuck my body out into the cold drowning rain. Not even second guessing myself, second guessing what I was leaving behind. I took in another deep breath and let myself fly into the storm. As I lunged I turned my head back toward my past life and called "You'll never let me love you, so this is goodbye.”

Hi, PenNPaper here to review!
Me and my dad where riding in the midst of a great thunder storm.

I think you wanted to say 'were' instead of 'where' right?
The rain was coming so hard everything around us was a blur.

'The rain was coming so hard' doesn't seem right. How about changing it to 'The rain was coming down so hard'?

Okay that's about all for the small little errors here and there. However I think you could have spiced up your story with a little dialogue, to show how the relationship between the author and the author really was, instead of just telling the readers 'the relationship between the father and son is bad'. It would be a case of 'Showing not telling'. Your cliffhanger(sort of) at the end was pretty well done. It's like someone running away from their poor lives.

Bye! :D

Hello there, KAH!

Here to review. :D
Errors in red
Comments in blue

While the wind scattered its creamy clouds, melting the perfect shade of blue to the hard cool color of grey.

I like your description here but it just didn't seem right. Maybe try to rephrase this sentence so that it would turn into a complete thought. Erase the 'While', perhaps. Or this one:
While the wind scattered its creamy clouds, the melting of the perfect shade of blue turned to a hard cool color of grey.

Me and my dad where riding in the midst of a great thunder storm.

Revise this one. Instead of "Me and my dad", change it to "My dad and I".

But there was always that silence between us. The silence I wish I could break. But I couldn't break it, only it could break me. Break my heart into tiny fractals as they scatter through my body.

You used the word "break" a lot, it could sometimes irritate or annoy the flow of the story. Try to use other synonym of that or make the thought in a few sentences.

A careless dad, the empty space my mother left, and the cold dark hole of a house we live in. Not much to loose.

Okay, this confused me a lot. I think you are trying to say "Lose" instead of "Loose". Actually, this is a commonly mistake for others.

source: http://www.towson.edu/ows/lose_lose.htm
Lose: verb
to "misplace" something,
to "fail to win," or
to "be deprived of" something.

Loose:adj.
Loose has two possible meanings:
"not fastened," or
"not tight fitting."

I closed my eyes, looking at the black that poured before for my sunken lids.

Just erase the apostrophe, because if you didn't it would only mean one eye is only closed and then add a comma after the word 'eyes'.

As I lunged I turned my head back toward my past life and called "You'll never let me love you, so this is goodbye.”

This actually shocked me a bit. Though the way of your goodbye is kind-of surprising, it was good for an ending part. :o

Another thing: Maybe, just make your font the normal one. You don't to need to make the font big and catchy to the eyes. It's kind-of hard to read and irritating for me.

Overall: Aside form all those things, I really like this! You left it kind-of hanging, so we readers, really expect a continuation, right? The spellings and tenses are good. Lastly, I love how you describe things and the tension occurring bet. your MC and his father.:smt003

Keep writing!

Peace out! :smt004

Okay well first off the title I think you meant to say "Not Much To Lose." Spelling lose like loose bugs the heck outta me, and it's something that happens a little too often online.

The first line really instead of drawing me in, turned me off, it was cheesy, and kind of emo sounding. Then you said this-
The thunder screamed, as the lighting flashed it's burning light.
Okay first off, I love thunderstorms, I'll sit and watch them with all the lights off and it's one of my favorite things. So a few little things I noticed were off. Well first off thunder always comes after the lightning, and second I have never heard thunder "scream". Crack and boom, yes, scream no.

I didn't really enjoy this, truth be told, and I know you can do a lot better.

The descriptions were bland, and not really all that interesting, and the plot...really needs a lot of work.

The descriptions are bland, a the MC I feel no connection to whatsoever, and I think you can do a lot better. To improve it try adding more onto the characters, give us some motive of why she jumps out of the car, why she doesn't feel close to her dad, where they're driving etc.

Good luck and keep writing!!
