"No idea." She sits down, leaning against the corner of the wall and door.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Maahes nodded in agreement, only remembering afterwards that Auryon was unable to see the reaction. "We need to know more than that," he said. Seeing that the other conversation had apparently ended, he spoke with a normal volume.
There's a long silence. She doesn't want to tell them everything. She doesn't want them to know her past, or of the angels, or of the demons, or of the blood on her hands. But, then again, does she really have any choice? Could she get away with lying even if she tried?
"It's a long story," she finally says.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
"Can you paraphrase?" he asked. "I can't let you in until I'm sure I can protect everyone here. I don't want them to be harmed because I made the wrong decision."
"I'm just a human," she explains. "Normal human. Long story short, I summoned Apophis to enact vengeance. Left a loophole, got possessed as a result. Jump forward a bit and we ran into a man named Raphael. He's more than a mortal; got some other blood in him is my understanding. Anyways, if he backs me I can keep Apophis in check, but when he's not - and he wasn't, for reasons that I'm not delving into - she gets back her power."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
“Well do you know if this Raphael guy is gonna keep helping you so you don’t turn into a giant snake again and try to kill us?” Laurel asked, her voice tense.
"First off, let's make this clear, Apophis is an entirely different entity than me, so I did not turn into a giant snake, she took on her true form through me. Second, because I trust him to. He hasn't let me down before."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Raiden whispered back to Edwin "Basically that Auryon girl apparently has a demon inside her and now the demon turned into this huge snake that tried to kill us all and in doing so we ended up in this room,"
I'm cool as a cucumber Even if I'm in a pickle
Two possibilities exist: Either we are alone in the universe, or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.
"No, it's too strong a binding," she answers through the door. "My own fault, really, but regardless it's not really possible to get rid of. Unless any of you are secretly demons."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
