Scarlet sighs and wipes her forehead with the back of her hand. “Thank goodness that’s over. Come on, we’d better keep going.”

"Good thing no one got hurt..." Damon muttered, relieved that he didn't have to use his power.

Lozan glares at him. "You're welcome. "

"Next time" Tom mutters "we'll need to be more careful"

Lozan glares at him too. "There won't BE a next time, you witless fool."

“Hey!” Ebony marches over to Lozan. “We don’t insult each other in this group. Of course there will be a next time. This is Tersa, not a shopping centre. If you ever speak to Tom like that again, you’ll have me to deal with. And Damon was right, we’re tremendously lucky nobody was hurt.”

Lozan stares at her. "Fat lot of help he did."

“And?” Ebony’s fingernails begin to elongate into claws.

Lozan snickers. "Dont mess with me, girl." His eyes glow blue and his feet slowly leave the ground. A frosty wind blows over them.

Ebony’s face transforms momentarily into the snarling features of a wolf. “You have three seconds to apologise.”
Scarlet stands aside, watching.
