The corner of Milo's mouth turned up into a smile. "Hey, yeah, thank you Elly." He reached up from his place on the floor and took the bandage roll from her hand. "You, uh..you keep a lot of stuff in there?"
Milo smirked. "That's true." His attention turned back to Cogs, still there next to him. He grinned. "Hello Cogs." Then his smile turned to a frown as he felt a crude sting begin to softly pulsate from the back of his neck. He reached up with his hand to gingerly touch the area, the worry clear on his face.
Bending his head, Milo grimaced as the pain began to increase. "It's-- I'm fine." He scrunched his eyes shut to try and deal with the pain. Why was it happening now? He pressed his hand over the raised area on the back of his neck harder.
[ I didn't want to get too far ahead without Jackie/the others! ]
Milo grit his teeth, and gingerly stood up, looking at Elly with his fingers still pressed up against the back of his neck. He groaned slightly. "Alright. I may not actually be fine. But I knew this would happen." He turned around and pulled his hand away from the pulsating spot of pain, revealing a baracode-like black smudge which seemed to be bleeding. "It's my...code. I have to decipher it."
That pretty well described me, I thought. I was often thought crazy. Some misunderstood my darkness as evil. Others were blinded by their fear of the unknown. Most everyone avoided me when they saw my unnatural paleness and multicolored eyes: one iris was red; the other was black.
I adjusted my black feather cloak and rapped on the door. Perhaps here I would be accepted. The dark raven on my shoulder croaked.
Hush, Darkness, I thought to her.
The doorknob turned and the door creaked open...
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
"Hello, come on in. Unless you want to murder those present in which case I would like to ask you to leave." What can I say? I'm not really one for subtleties.
We are who we are, and if someone has a problem with that; that's their problem not ours. *** I do believe that insane is the only way to go.
"I..." She pauses. "Currently wish no harm upon the anonymous people within."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
I stepped inside and looked about. There were already a few people there, but I paid little heed to them. Instead I found the fridge where there was food and fed Darkness.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
