Sure the coloring does stink. Mainly because you used the same hue at different shades/tint.
Remember your complimentary colors when shading and use different hues.

Use a dark yellow when shading your purple, but I like to use blue. Also use a dark green when shading red.

Less blur.

It aint bad. Though I think she coulda used legs stead of a tail.

Haha. I've never managed to get the hang of colouring. I need more pratice. I'll remember that next time. Kay?

So there is there anything you actually like?

You're a harsh critic. I'm not complaining, but just balance the compliments and criticism out so it's equal. You know what I mean? :]

And she's half ghost, half skeleton with a few extra features. It's all in the character. To me; it wouldn't look right with legs. She's unique.

Shes good. Scary, but good. Im not sure about her hands though. They're a bit..random? I think they need a bit more detail. Maybe you should shade the tail part a little as well. I dont think the colouring is all that bad to be honest. Maybe her hair could do with more varied shades though. Anyhoo, over and out!

Umm... yeah. You could say Im a harsh critic.
But whats a little salt with sugar?

The thing I like best about your work, is the line art, and your drawing style actually.

Just the color Im not too worked up about.

I sorely disagree with you, Sponson. This looks liek it was taken right out of Nightmare Before Christmas. The colors, are gritty, and definitely work for the picture itself.

The style, in iteself, is very Tim Burton, as I mentioned. The spindly limbs, the gothic fashion and faces make for a very edgy and creepy image.

It's a little rough, like inconsistencies in the horns and hands and stuff, but that's perfectly fine. They're not noticeable. The thing that DOES need to be fixed is the ghost tail. It definitely works for the picture, but the consistency is off--it is thinner in some places and fatterin comse places, and generally needs to be smoothed out.

You could use a bit more detail in the blouse, but it's not absolutely necessary. I really dig this, Emz--good stuff :)
Got YWS? I do.

Hehe. I think the picture is good. The style compliments the 'creep factor,' and yes I was reminded of Tim Burton straight away but I was also remined of a different genre of art and that's Dark Art.

At any case, the coarse hands, spindly tail and somber colouring compliment the atmosphere also.
The sadness drains through me rather than skating over my skin. It travels through every cell to reach the ground. I filter it yet strangely enough, I keep what was pure and it is the dirt that leaves.

Cool pic. I'm not much of an artist, so I don't really know what to say when it comes to actually critiquing a piece of art properly except...

That pic roxx0rz my s0xxorz!?

The clothing's neat, too. And I like the sketchy style. :D

Disagreeing with me about me liking the style? or the colors, yeah, that makes more sense.

Yes the colors do work well, but the coloring (aka shading/highlighting) could use work, as mentioned above.

Yes it is very tim-burtonish, but thats only because its in the same genre, right? Her other sketches look cool, but I wouldnt call them tim-burtonish.

Now that I look at this, the only beef I have with the tail is that it gets too thin too fast from the waist.

Corset and ribbon is nicely done, and for some reason, I just noticed the doll on the horns.
