on the second picture, is there meant to be subtle shading on the dress? if so, it's very excellently done.

Im not one to tell lies, but the shading should be "harder", and less "soft". If those words mean anything (as I have met some people who do not)
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, instead, you should read every single book to see what every book is about before you even come close to judging its viability.

I'm still playing around with the programs on my computer to try to figure out how to do that. I am learning that computers are incredibly useful... But only if you know how to use them... *sticks tongue out at computer that obviously doesn't want her to learn how*

I know... I keep trying to change them up a bit, but I'm never happy with the result.

Here's another one I drew the other day:

I can teach shading on the computer, only in Adobe or MS Paint though, as I have no other experience, maybe paint shop pro because I used to have it to alter alpha channels.

Right then, I'll make a thread so everyone not-so-familiar can get it as well.

It's been a while since I've posted in here... I've been messing around with different eyes and differently shaped hands...

Here is the latest piece that I've worked on:

It's a drawing of my main character from THE BEARER.

These are pretty good. Although on the second one (on this page) it doesn't really look like hes holding the rope.

Yeah, the rope goes behind his palm. I love the main character, though- now you just need to do fingers lol. I love the original style- that's hard to come by these days. Although a little less simplistic would be cool, too.

Oh wow! I love it! The only problems I see are that she has no ears and that the stars are pretty redundant. Usually you only want one or two MAX stars like that, and most of them will just be dots with different brightnesses.

Thanks. I'm afraid I can't do anything about the ears. I don't generally draw ears on my characters. But I've modified the stars here:

Oh no! I think you should have kept some of the stars! I liked them.

What are you using to make these?
