Right, i'd first like to say that THESE ARE UNFINISHED.

heh.

For my design aspect of my art course, im making hats/headresses inspired by Geishas.

soo...what do you think so far?

Image

This one is neaaarly finished. As you can probably see, its made of foil. It's gonna be painted blue/green (like proper water) and more fish will be added. Yes, those are fish. The front of it needs to be smoothed out etc as well.

Image

This one is getting a pheonix mounted on the front of it, which i still haven't finished making yet. Its made of bukram and then airbrushed.

SOME OF THESE ARE STILL UNFINISHED

Image

This is something different. Its a mask inspired by.....dark forest dwellers XD

Image in detail..

Image

Prototype that was kind of just thrown together....kinda cool though.

Image

Fire hat...still not finished. Its getting there though. Im most probably replacing the bird with a more substantial one. That one is made of padded silk!

Image
I sprayed the wave to make it blue. I think its a big improvement, no?

Mermaid hat! This looks pretty cool, and fun!
Working with all that jazz and those tools must be awesome.

What mesh did you use for those fish scales?
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, instead, you should read every single book to see what every book is about before you even come close to judging its viability.

Oooh, fishy hat!

Those are so cool, Mooz! I've never met anybody who made hats, even if it was just for fun. I echo Cass on this one; you definitely have to post pictures of the finished product. :)

The fishy one kicks butt. The other one isn't as gripping. :P

I love the fish one! The second one doesn't look as great but you've said they are unfinished and I can see why.

I didn't really like the fire one, too wild and purple. The first one looks GREAT just the way it is.
