I haven't posted it anywhere yet because I'm trying to build up a buffer of at least ten episodes, but I'll definitely share it once it's up on webtoon and/or tapas.
More OC-tober stuff. Prompts were "5 expressions" and "formal wear" c:
I really enjoyed these ones. Expressions are hard to get right, but are always a lot of fun to draw, and the colors and lighting of the 2nd prompt were fun too. I think I'm getting better at choosing more rich, saturated colors. Definitely looks better than the washed-out, grey-looking ones I was using before, at least.
OC_tober's about done. I've got one more in-progress which I may or may not complete and post. I finished 7 out of 31 prompts, which is about five more than last year so.. improvement?
Anyways, here's a sketch dump of dynamic action poses I did today. I was getting bored and frustrated with the character poses I was doing for OC_tober, so I tried drawing something different from what I usually do.
Soooo epic and ambitious! It's inspiring to see how often you challenge yourself to draw things you're not used to.

I've always kind of gravitated towards drawing the same things over and over again (namely: pretty semi-realistic females haha) so I really want to start going out of my comfort zone and trying new stuff to improve.
Anyways, It makes me really happy that you like these. Thanks for all the encouraging comments <3
More sketchy action poses and swordswomen. Not sure if I like the blurr and action lines I used in the colored drawing.. I'll probably have to experiment more with that until I can figure out something that looks better.
I like how the colors and shading turned out though
Been a long time since I last posted here.. I haven't had much time lately to make art due to homework and more homework, but I was able to crank out this spontaneous fan-art today anyways. probably should've done my homework instead tbh but here ya go
The character is Yona, the main character of a fantasy/romance anime (Akatsuki no Yona) I just finished watching with my little sis. Initally, I hated this character (and the show itself) with a burning passion, but my sister persuaded me to stick around until the fifth episode and whaddya know, she actually becomes a pretty cool character.
It was really fun to imagine what she'd look like in a semi-realistic style, with Asian facial features while keeping the large purple anime eyes and bright red hair. The vivid colors are my favorite
Oh my gosh, Aly, this is STUNNING! Your work just keeps getting more and more refined - the colors, the painterly shading, the smoothness and OOOOoooo the composition in this one is just so *chef's kiss*
