I worked more on the tribal guy this week in pastel class. Man, the color in the beads and his shirt really made a difference. It helped balance the oranges and browns, which I felt were a bit overwhelming before.

It's wonderful to see your progression as an artist! One of my favorites is the NatGeo pastel guy. The different tones of skin and your color choices in general are splendid. The shading on the nose and the eyes... wow! It's simpler than the charcoal old man, for sure, but just as great.
One thing's for certain. You know how to draw lips! The charcoal old man and the beautiful WIP woman (who - I beg of you - you should finish!) below him both have very realistic lips.

Tonight was fun. I decided to challenge myself and made a piece using contrasting colors, purple and yellow. I think I'll name it "Regrets". He looks kinda melancholy, doesn't he?

That's a great one :3 I like that he looks melancholy and you have also used the cool colours (although contrasting) which simply add to the mood. Love it <3

New picture from tonight. Instead of a two color scheme like last week, I tried a tri-color scheme. It was fun and her pose was an added challenge. ^-^
My Kindle messes with the colors when I take pics, so her skin is a lot more green and the paper is actually yellow. Not sure why it does that.

Art updaaaate. Last week's pastel picture sucked, so I'm not posting it haha, but here's a few from the past weekish. I can't be bothered to crop them right now so sorry for crooked picture-taking on my part. ^-^
My anatomy book is fun. Then I got bored and doodled flowers. XD
Current work-in-progress ink for our Surrealism unit in my drawing class! I like him but I'm getting tired of the tiny details. :/
Finally, last night's project for pastels! My friends say he reminds them of Lupin from Harry Potter, and I agree. I didn't start out thinking that, though. I just had a picture of a hot guy and the moon. XD
