The beautiful simple things

This is my first post so please don't be too harsh

This picture is a photo of me and a clover. The first time I took it I didn't care for it too much until now. I edited the photo and I love it!

I thought this was really good only thing being ( yes this is coming from somebody who knows nothing about photography) the yellow is a little too bright for me - did you edit it that way? It looks good with the contrasting colours but maybe you could tone it down a bit - also it makes your skin look slightly weird.

Other than that I really liked it

By the way is it a three leaf clover or a four leaf clover?

The yellow is very bright and it distracts the viewer.

Hello there, teenhrtsbeatsfrst! I hope your day is going swell.

Now, as you asked me to not be too harsh, I will try and say this gently. Your photograph, here, is completely overprocessed; the lighting is blown out of proportion due to how you upped the contrast, and your skin tone looks blaring white on one side, and normal on the other.

Let's address the photo itself, first. I like the angle; it's unique, and I like that, so, bravo there. However, the fingernail at the bottom of the screen is a bit of a distraction. And as pretty as the flower is, the way she (is that you?) is holding it makes it look a bit too posed for my liking. Try some more natural poses. Lie in the field of flowers, laughing, or just talking with your best friend; use a remote and just click a picture every few seconds. Your pictures will be so much more real and authentic, trust me.

Okay. I know you say the edit of this photo is something you are in love with, but to be honest, my eyes are begging from a break after looking at the photo. The whites in the photo are blown out, and that causes me to want to squint. It's like when you're outside in the middle of the afternoon, sun on your face, and your looking at the glare of the ocean's waves. Harsh, isn't it? It subtracts from the overall picture, and we don't want that, now do we?

I also don't like the selective coloring, but that's just my personal preference. I always have preferred more neutral, realistic things, than overprocessed and contrasted photos. Overall, you have some work to do, but this is an okay start. I pride you for gathering up the confidence to post a photo on here, though, as it took me ages. Would you mind showing me the original of the photo, too? I bet it would be much better, actually.
