(Yes I know I spelled photography wrong on the Subject, hehe.)
So... instead of uploading my pictures to here, because I have too many of them. I would highly appreciate it if people would look at my photography in my gallery on Deviantart.com. If you have one that's good, if you don't, that's fine too.
So here's the link: http://thorn-kat-17.deviantart.com/

I have a lot of photos there and I don't know if they're any good or not. I haven't taken any photography classes; it's just something I do on a whim or as a small hobby. Some days I'll get more and just take lots of pictures, or get inspired or something.

Anyway, check 'em out.

My favorite in the group by far is My Memory. I really like how you did it in black and white. It gave the picture a very classic feel. It also makes it feel like the memory is there, but fading. It's very beautiful, and I'd love to see more like that. Keep on coming, please!

Hey there, Hibiscus! :D

Okay, seeing as you have about five whole pages of pictures on there, I doubt it would benefit you if I did an individual review of each. It'd probably take up the whole page for this review. XD.
Anyways, I'm just going to say which ones catch my eye--for good and bad reasons. ;)
I don't like PURPLE because it doesn't really even look like a flower, and the angle you took it from is not flattering at all. I would have probably shot a picture of a flower like that from the top.
MEMORY is a nice idea for a picture, so nice job on that one. It really stands out from the other pictures.
IRIS BUDS would have been a spectacular picture, but I think you should have focused on the other two purple buds as well as the middle one. It looks odd with just the first purple bud and the middle bud focused.
BLUE MEETS YELLOW is kind of a weird picture; I didn't like it at all. The angle was a little dodgy, and the whole idea was odd.
WINDOW SILL FLOWER is nice, but whats with the whole flower in wine glasses thing? But I do like this one ^__^
God, I love TOWER. The sepia toning makes the picture fantastic.
BLUEBERRY MUFFIN--no, just no. It looks odd, and unappealing. If you're going to take pictures of food, try and make them...decent to make me want to eat it.
SLUMBER--this is kind of weird. I only see the persons hair and shoulder outlines. >.> And that kind of throws me off.
BRITTANY AND SANTANA: GLEE: Who has chins that pointed? It's abnormal, and I know their chins don't look like that.
SILVER POOLS is very nice, except I would have focused on the whole flower, not just the tip of the petal.
ABUNDANCE would have been nice, but I don't like the angle and the two poles in the background distract from the main focus (the flowers).
CATCHING SUNLIGHT...one word: beautiful.
STRAWBERRY CHERRY--you're getting the whole food thing in this picture. Now I'm hungry. ;)
COOL COLORS--Um, no. The shadows on the side make it very distracting, and the whole idea is kind of weird.
WARM COLORS--Gah! No. It's sort of pointless and I don't like the angle.
MARMALADE EYES & EARS: Looks like you've got a little something on your lens (some dust) and also a sun flare, which doesn't look nice in this picture(s).
SHADOWS AND SUNLIGHT is very nice, great job.
SPHERICAL BLUE: This is kinda cool, dude! :D
AROUND THE BEND (and the two pictures before it): These are pointless. Like something I'd let my two year old brother take. The angles off, and you need to stop taking pictures of shadows and light. Get some live action.
WHEN SHE LOVED ME: Nice. Cute idea, and you pulled it off nicely.
SCARVES: Another useless picture, no one wants to look at fabric, dear.
FARE THEE WELL. Nice job! I like this one a lot. The snow on the rose is very beautiful.
TAKE SHELTER. Very nice, has the feeling of an antique picture.

Overall, you have some potential. Just work on angles, correct lighting (always have the light behind YOU when taking a picture), and not taking pictures of wooden railings and scarves. >.>
So, nice work. Contact me if you have any questions.
Bravo!

Hey Hibiscus!

Woo, deviantart ftw! I'm gonna copy off of Mizzle and do a review of all the pictures that caught my eye, since you have 14 pages on there. And these will be from page fourteen to page one, so I'm going backwards here. Just wanted to make sure that was clear. ^^

One thing I have to say right off the bat is I love the clarity of most of these. What camera are you using? What editing program(s) are you using? These are all really good in terms of focus and clarity.

Okay, now on to the actual reviews.

Swing Shadows: I really liked this one. The black and white was a good touch, and helps to tell the story. Also, the contrast you have going is nice. I don't really have any sort of complaint about this one, except maybe to crop the left side a little, so you don't see half of that pole there. But it's not that big of a deal, I'm probably just being overly picky.

Arbre: I want to say that I like this picture. I like how the background is blurred out, but you can clearly tell what it is, and I like the focus on the actual subject. But I feel like it's misplaced. There isn't enough of it in the picture, and it's competing for dominance in the photo with the two blurry trees in the background. I love the colors, I love the contrast...but I can't come to love the photo itself. It feels too busy. :/

The Color of Autumn: I do like this one. It's a bit busy, but the colors are so alive and vibrant that it makes it feel like the trees are rejoicing, and that it's just one big party. I dunno, that's what I'm getting out of this picture. I don't really have anything negative to say about this one.

Winter Blanket: I like this one a lot, too. The black and white, again, is a nice effect, and the contrast between the white snow and the dark trees is very well captured. There's a small smudge near the top left of the picture that's bothering me, and the two branches sticking up in the bottom center. If you're not against some more heavy editing, and if you have any version of photoshop, I suggest the clone stamp tool to blot those things out. But otherwise, this is probably one of my favorite photos on here.

Lost in Time: The colors in this one are wonderful, and the lighting. But those are about the only things I like about this one. The angle is odd, and it feels like the left side of the photo is too cluttered, while the right side is too spacious in comparison. Also, there's a pen on the floor near the left side of the photo that's really bugging me, but again, that's probably just me being picky.

Knock Me Down: The idea is good, the execution is good, the lighting is good, the angle is good...I like this one a lot. My only suggestion would be to have the focus be on the fallen piece, and have the ones still standing be blurred out. I feel like that would have been more powerful, but how you have it now is just fine too. ^^

Tower: I like this one. A lot, actually. Usually I'm not a big fan of flower pictures, but the color of this makes it stand out just enough to where it caught my eye. The angle is also pretty unique, and I like how you had a window in the background rather than just a solid wall - it gives the photo a little more life. For a flower picture, this one is definitely one of the better ones I've seen.

Sorry I didn't review too many! If you want any comments on any of the other ones, just let me know and I'd be happy to go over them with you. Hope this helped! You have a good eye, and definitely have talent! Keep it up!

I know you want replies to your photography, but I must say, the digital artwork you made out of Brittany and Santana of Glee is very striking. Of course I noticed this because I love Glee! I also love the way you highlighted the eyes, making it look as though the sun were reflecting off of them. I love how cartoonistic it is!
