Hey, this is something I did for my art class--It's just a pencil drawing. What I like about this is that the guy is straight up ugly, and it totally creeps me out.
It's pretty good. The mouth/chin area is a little awkward. I would make the eyes the same color (even with light on one they are still a little closer to the same color) and the right ear (...my right) is a little odd in the shadows even though there is clearly like on that side.
yeah, creepy. Like some shady dealer.
Is his face drawn vertically smooshed or is it just the picture?
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, instead, you should read every single book to see what every book is about before you even come close to judging its viability.
Hahaha, he is ugly. The only thing I think is weird is the angle... either were looking at him from the top or his is abnormally squashed. O_o

Haha... he is really creepy! The whole smooshed thing definitely increases his creepy-factor, as does, as Myth pointed out, the fact that he seems to be blind in one eye. Nice shading, too!
proportions are way off...
but it rather adds to the effect, doesn't it?
So I'll just assume that was the intent, and go on being rather unnerved by it/him/bushbaby
The good parts of a book may be only something a writer is lucky enough to overhear or it may be the wreck of his whole damn life — and one is as good as the other.

Yeah, this drawing is really crazy --but there's one thing I didn't mention about it. I didn't just draw it for my art class, but I actually won 100 dollars for it at a local art festival. I think the visual horror is worth it
