I do not believe that a man reads the bible, I believe that as a man translates the blessed word of God, he slowly discovers and reinvents himself, he reads himself. Throughout psalms and proverbs a man's darkest secrets are replayed and dissected, his greatest triumphs glorified.....in eternal text. A lot is to be said about a holy man, with holy goals, and morals that lack these hols. When a man searches deep inside the bible, deep inside himself, and deep inside the quality of his dreams, he comes to sense an overbearing feeling of righteousness; a righteousness glorified by thousands of years of devotion and adoration, between man and God.
Hmm, I'm not really sure how I feel about this one. I get what you're saying, and to some level I agree with it. I agree with you in the sense that when a person reads something, they apply it to themselves and hold it with them for the rest of their lives. However, I don't quite agree with you on the religious aspect. I don't want to completely smash your beliefs or anything, but I'm actually an atheist. However, I do have an open mind and I have read the Bible and gone to church. Granted, there are some parts I don't exactly believe or agree with, but the morals that it teaches I do like. And just one little question:
with holy goals, and morals that lack these hols.
Was that a typo? I'm pretty sure you meant "holes", but I'm not sure. Unless that is a word and I just don't know it, though I'm pretty sure it's not.
Anyway, sorry to argue with you, though I'm not quite sure if I was... Let me rephrase that, sorry for disagreeing with you. But wait, that's part of life... Oh well, you know what I mean.
I do get what you are saying, however the Bible does say that you have to be a child to get in to heaven and therefore I think that you have to read the Bible like a child would in order to get the message that God is saying. I'm sorry but I think you may be looking into this too much. I believe that whenever people look into the bible too much they become confused and stray from the path laid out for them (or at least I would ).
I tend to dislike it whenever people set up forms like this as it usually causes people with strong opinions to argue and in my opinion the religious tone that is often used irritates people and pushes them away from Christ. Could you maybe have put across your viewpoint in a more casual and less confusing way? -Bonnie

i like it. i agree that the Bible acts like a mirror, only with your soul. however, a man does read the Bible, as this is the accepted name for experiencing a written media. it does, however, make perfect (no pun intended) sense
So I'm assuming your religious. To be honest that's all I get from this, your love of the bible. What you were saying about reading deeper, the deeper you read the more your into philosophy not christianity, in my opinion. I went to a really christian school, but, despite reading parts of the bible I never connected at all with them. Perhaps I'm just a skeptic, but it proves against your point. I get what your saying, but I think that you need to back it up with facts, reasons for this to be a text.
At the moment I would put this under art. Not in the whole, lets paint a pretty picture, but in the way that it in invoking the thoughts and feelings of others. Anything can be art as long as it invokes a response and from the replies you get either agreeing beetroot888 or disagreeing like myself it has invoked some response. Coupling the responses with the text and then displaying them would make you an artist, not a writer though.
The whole thing is that the bible will do what you say to certain people and the rest, well they may find themselves trough science or buddhism or art even. You can not make a book into any more than ink on a page, however much the words mean to you, they may not mean as much to someone else.
Still your invoking a response. Enjoy being an artist.
