I know this is bad to have a last minute decision but can I write 50,000 words and add it on to something I've already written. I was going to stick with my first idea but its not going well, so what should I do?

Ya, I think that s fine, just make sure that you make sure ytou know where you started and don't count the rest of it. Just what you wrote now.

Thanks. Whew...I was worried I was committing some type of crime. But yeah, I counted my current number of words and now have 50,000 more words to go. This shouldn't be bad because I knew my characters for a long long time.

Nano's not so much about rules as it is ctually just writing the words in the amount of time. So as long as your writing the words your're in the spirit of the month.
