What, exactly, is a writing buddy on NaNo? I mean, is it just someone whose word-count you can find easily in your profile, or is it someone who reads your stuff and tells you to write faster, or what?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. This is my first NaNo ever and the whole site's still kinda confusing to me...

I think it's just like the friends system we have here on YWS.

(That's sad, I just added a word into that sentence to make the word count higher. Is that normal??)

Just so you can get to your friends' profiles quicker and everything, I guess.

Gwen, NaNo is short for NaNoWriMo which in turn is short for National Novel Writing Month, which in it's turn is short for the long, long ramble that describes the madness in November.

November being National Novel Writing Month.

What logo was talking about is a thingie on the NaNo site.

That help? :)

Ah. Okay. I guess that makes sense. (And yes, twit, during November it's normal! :D Any other time it'd be bad, though...) Thanks! :elephant:

(I was doing the same thing. I was typing up an LJ post and I realize I had not used any contractions ... and i just did it there, too.)
