the bad news is I didn't write much again the good news is I figured out why I haven't been writing very much recently! the worse news is that it's :sparkles: seasonal depression :sparkles:

Favourite line: Behind her, slowly working her way up the inside of the tunnels after her, Makaria made a quiet moaning noise. That, too, was familiar, and Melinoë suddenly felt like a child again, scrambling through the forest with her little sister trailing behind her, tripping and stumbling over some of the bigger logs and tree roots, but oh-so-determined to keep up with Melinoë at all costs.

I'm very proud of myself for writing every day so far, even if it's just a little bit. I haven't worked on a novel project in a while so my writing muscles are a lil' sore but I'm exercising them slowly but surely and honestly I don't care what my WC ends up being at the end of the month, all that matters is that I did something every day :)

Favourite line/paragraph: Makaria always woke her up in the morning. She’d done it for as long as Melinoë could remember, both when she was living and when she was dead. Every morning, Melinoë would wake up to Makaria sitting quietly next to her, staring blankly, making soft growling noises to herself that would change to a delighted purr as soon as she realized Melinoë was awake. She’d poke Melinoë lightly, snaking her freezing fingers into Melinoë’s blankets to try and find her warm skin. It always sent Melinoë scrambling out of her blankets to try and get away and usually ended up with Makaria happily munching on a chunk of meat to keep her occupied while Melinoë got dressed.
