Molly, John’s wife.
Courtney, the model.
Molly and John have been dating for six years and are now deciding to get married but, in the middle of it all, John falls in love with Courtney. Courtney has been working as a model but, her boss is kind of arrogant and snotty.
Interest. Molly’s interest is fashion but she hates ugliness.
John likes sports and cars but hates long lines and the poor.
Courtney loves fashion but hates arrogant people.
Chapter One: Introduction.
Scene One: Molly and John.
Setting: Inside the living room of John’s house.
Molly is sitting in the middle of the living room on the sofa watching the fashion channel when John walks in.
John, “I think I’m going to play football with the guys.”
Molly, “Okay, be back soon. Don’t forget to take money with you so you can buy lunch while you’re there.”
John, “Okay, I won’t.”
John goes to get his wallet in the other room then returns to the living room.
Molly, “Bye.”
John, “Bye honey.”
John exits the scene.
Molly continues watching the television when a repulsive dress is shown. Molly is now sickened by the repulsive dress.
Molly speaking with a hateful tone, “I hate that dress, it’s very hideous; they should have never made it.”
Two minutes later a lovely dress is shown
Molly, “Now that’s a lot better.”
Scene two: Football.
Setting: A football field.
John is out playing football with his friend mike and dug.
Mike, “It’s nice to just us guys for a change.”
John, “Yeah, I’ll say.”
Dug, “Yeah, I agree.”
John, mike, and dug go out into the grass where they start playing football.
Mike, “Dude, pass me the ball.”
John passes the football over to mike while doing so, a hot female walks by.
Mike, “Dude, that chick is hot.”
John, “I’m getting married in soon I can’t be looking at other woman. “
Mike, “You mean that, you’re finally going to propose to Molly?”
John, Yeah, soon as possible.”
Mike, “Congratulations then.”
John, “Thanks.”
Dug butts into the conversation.
Dug, “Did I hear you say that you’re going to propose to Molly?”
John, “Yeah, as soon as I get a chance.”
Dug, “Congratulations then.”
John, “Thanks.”
Mike, “Let’s have lunch now.”
John, “Okay
Mike, John, and dug take out sandwiches and start eating. Two hours later they finish playing football, pack up, and leave.
Scene Three: Modeling agency.
Setting: Inside the boss’s office.
Courtney has been working for her arrogant boss for ten years and is deciding to quit. There is a big table in the middle of the room and the boss is sitting in the back of the room in a big leather chair when Courtney walks in.
Courtney, “Sir. I decided that I no longer want to work here.”
Boss in an arrogant mood, “Okay fine get out of here then you chump! You will need to go pack up your stuff dolt.”
Courtney packs her things and leaves to find another job.
Scene Four: A new job for Courtney.
Setting: Inside the living room of Courtney’s house.
She is very happy that she got away from her arrogant boss and at home she decides to look for a job in Spain. She has been living in France for ten years. She is looking in the newspaper in the middle of the room and finds a job opening that she finds interesting.
Courtney on the phone, “Hello!”
Boss 2, “Hello! Can I help you?”
Courtney, “I saw your ad for a job opening in the newspaper.”
Boss2, “Oh. How long have you been a model?”
Courtney, “I have been a model for ten years.”
Boss2, “Well, that’s good enough for me; you get an interview with us.
Courtney is now ecstatic that she got an interview
Courtney happily speaking, “Thank you.”
Boss2, “You’re welcome. We will send a jet to come and pick you up.”
Courtney, “Okay.”
Courtney hangs up the phone. She goes to the airport and flies to Spain.
Scene Five: Interview.
Setting: Inside boss2’s office.
Boss2, “Hello Courtney and welcome to our fashion studio.”
Courtney, “Thanks.”
Boss2, “The name of are fashion show is “Super fashion runway.”
Courtney, “That’s a cool name”
Boss2, “Yes, it is.”
The boss continues the interview and decides to hire Courtney. Courtney thanks the boss and then talks to him some more.
Courtney, “You said I would have a desk. I would like to know where it is please.”
Boss2,”Follow me.”
Courtney follows the man into a room in the back of the building.
Boss2,”This is your desk and your changing room is over to the right.”
Courtney “Thanks. It’s nice to know that, you’re not a jerk like my last boss.
Boss2, “Yeah.”
Courtney goes to check out her new surrounding and ends up liking them. While doing so she places a picture frame on her desk; the picture is of her mother.
Chapter Two: Love.
Scene One: Love
Setting: Outside.
Molly is sitting outside on a brown patio chair when John walks into the scene from the
right. Molly is showing her love for John. There are a few tall oak trees outside. John walks into the scene from the left. Molly begins to talk with John. She is standing next to one of the tall oak tress.
Molly softly speaking, “Oh John, I love you with all my heart.”
John, “Same here.”
Molly, “I wish I could be with you forever.
John,” The same here.”
Molly, “I remember the day I first saw you, you were the most handsome man I had ever seen.”
Molly, “I want to marry you.”
John, “So do I.”
Molly, “I think it would be great if we were to get married soon. Don’t you think?”
John, “Yeah that would be great.”
Molly, “Well, I think we should go back inside now it’s getting late.”
John, “Okay.”
They go back into the house.
Scene two: The first time they meant.
Setting: Outside a collage dorm.
Molly is carrying her books outside of a collage dorm, when john accidentally butts into her.
John, “I’m sorry.”
Molly smiling, “It’s not big deal.”
John, “Let me help you with those.”
Molly, “Thanks.”
John and Molly walk to Molly’s next class.
John, “So, do you have any plans for tonight?”
Molly, “Are you asking me out on a date?’
John, “Maybe. Coffee at Le café 8:00?”
Molly, “Okay, see you there.”
Molly goes into her class. John jump up in amusement.
Scene Three: The first date.
Setting: Inside le café.
John and Molly enter le café. John goes to the counter to order drinks.
John, “Two Cappuccinos please.”
Cashier, “Okay, they will be right out.”
John, “Thanks.”
John takes the cappuccinos and goes back to the table.
John is now flirting with Molly.
John, “I love your eyes.”
Molly, “Thanks.”
John, “You are very pretty.”
Molly, “And, you are very handsome.”
John, “How’s the cappuccino?”
Molly, “It’s good.”
An hour goes by and John takes Molly to her dorm.
John, “Well I guess I will see you later.”
Molly, “Bye.”
John, “Bye.”
John walks back to his dorm.
Scene three: The ring.
Setting: Jewelry store. There are a few cabinets about the store and John is standing in the middle of the store about to talk to the sales person.
John decides to marry Molly and is now looking for a ring to give her. John is talking to the sales person.
John, “I’m looking for a ring to buy.”
Sales person, “How much do you want to pay for a ring?”
John, “10 thousand dollars.”
The sales person goes to open a cabinet in the middle of the room. She and John are now looking at a ring. She pulls out a $5 thousand dollar ring.
John, “That is a nice ring.”
Sales person, “Would you like to buy this ring?”
John, “Yes.”
Sales person, “Okay, it will cost you 5 thousand dollars.”
John gives her a credit card and the sales person puts the ring in a small plastic bag. John leaves the store.
Scene Three: Will you marry me?
Setting: Outside 9:30 Pm.
John has now decided that it’s the best time to propose to Molly. He set up a romantic table outside in the middle of the moonlight. John goes to get Molly. John gets down on one knee.
John, “Molly, will you marry me.”
Molly is now shocked and joyful.
Molly joyfully speaking, “Yes, Yes, I will marry you.”
John gets up and off one knee and passionately kisses Molly and they then sit down at the table. Molly looks up at the moon light; she is very excited.
Molly happily speaking, “Look at the moon it’s so lovely.”
John, “Just like you.”
John and Molly passionately kiss again. Molly takes a sip of the wine.
Molly, “Oh John, this wine is delicious.”
John, “It sure is.”
Scene Four: The wedding.
Setting: The beach.
A few chairs have been set up facing the north side of the beach. Molly and john are both very happy that they are getting married. John is waiting for Molly to show up; John talks to the minister.
John happily speaking, “Are they supposed to show up soon?”
Minister happily speaking, “Yeah.”
Molly’s limo shows up, “Here comes the bride” starts to play. Molly walks down the aisle.
Minister, “John, do you take Molly to be your lawfully wedded wife?”
John, “I do.”
Minister asking a question, “Molly, do you take John to be your lawfully wedded husband?
Molly, “I do.”
A few seconds go by. They start to put the rings on each other.
Minister, “You may now kiss the bride.”
Molly and John kiss.
Chapter Three: The honey moon.
Scene one: The hotel.
Setting: Inside a hotel room. The bed is in the middle of the room with the television is in front of it. There is a table off to the left with a lamp next to it. The bed is wooden along with the table.
Molly and John walk into the hotel room from the left; they are both ecstatic. They are standing in front of the bed.
Molly happily speaking, “I’m so happy that we are married.”
John happily speaking, “So am I.”
Molly, “There is a fashion show I want to go to.”
John, “Okay.”
Molly, “I guess we can go there in one hour.”
John, “Sounds good. You will need to wear something fancy to the fashion show.”
Molly, “I can wear my dress.”
John, “Okay, sound good, I will wear my tuxedo.”
Scene Two: The Fashion show.
Setting: At a fashion show.
Molly and John exit a taxi at the fashion show. They are both very excited. The stage is in the middle of the room and there are a few chairs around it. There are lights pointed at the stage. The lights are on the floor, on the right and on the left.
Molly excitedly speaking, “Look at the models.”
John excitedly speaking, “Yeah, there are a lot of them.”
Announcer, “Here comes Courtney wearing a lovely daytime dress.”
Courtney walks onto the stage. She’s walking in a sexy manner and wearing a red dress.
Molly excitedly, “I like what she’s wearing.”
John excitedly, “Me too.”
The fusion show actually last for an hour.
The show is now ending. Molly goes to use the restroom. John is now in love with one of the models. Turns out the model likes John.
Courtney, talking in a sexy manner, “Hey cutey,”
John is now surprised.
John surprisingly speaking, “Hello.”
John and the model start to passionately kiss. After they kiss they begin to flirt
John speaking in a flirty manner, “You’re very beautiful.”
Courtney speaking in a flirty manner, “You’re very handsome.”
John,” I don’t think I should have kissed you.”
Courtney wanting an answer, “Why’s that”
John, “I’m married.”
Courtney surprisingly speaking, “Well, you should have told me that.”
John, “I know.”
Boss2 walks over to Courtney and John.
Boss2 “Courtney, we need you over here.”
Courtney talking loudly in a hurry, “I’ll see you later. My phone number is 555-5555.”
John writes Courtney’s phone number on a piece of paper.
Molly is now done utilizing the bathroom and returns to talk to John.
Molly wanting an answer, “Who were you talking to while I was gone?”
John, “No one.”
Scene Four: Cheating.
Setting: Le retaurante
John walks into the rest restaurant from the left.
Courtney speaking loudly, “I’m over here.”
John speaking in a happy tone, “Hello!”
Courtney speaking in a happy tone, “How are you?”
John, “I’m fine, thanks.”
Courtney and John take a seat at a round table. There are plants nearby and a piano is playing in the background. Courtney calls the waiter over. Courtney and John are in chairs facing each other. The waiter enters the scene from the right.
Courtney. “Monsieur!”
Man, “Bonjour! What will you be having today madam?”
Model, “I will have the lobster.”
Man, “And you monsieur?”
John, “I will have the chicken.”
Man, “It will be right out. May I have your menus?”
John, “Oui.”
John and Courtney hand the waiter their menus. Conversation starts.
Courtney wanting an answer, “I don’t know your name.”
John, “My name is John. And, your name is?”
Courtney, “My name is Courtney.”
John, “That is a nice name.”
Courtney, “Thanks.”
John, “Where are you from?”
Courtney, “I’m from Italy. And, you?”
John, “I’m from America.”
Courtney, “What is your wife’s name?”
John, “Her name is Molly.”
Courtney, “That’s a nice name.”
John, “Yeah.”
John. “How long have you been a model?”
Courtney, “Ten years. I used to work for this arrogant boss in France but I decided to move to Spain. I hate arrogant people.”
John, “I hate obnoxious people also.”
Courtney, “So, what made you decide to come to Spain?”
John, “Well, my wife always wanted to go to Spain and I been practicing my Spanish so, we decided to come here.”
Courtney, “Okay.”
John, “What made you move to France?”
Courtney, “Well, the job and compensation seem good at the time until, I meant my arrogant boss.”
John, “Oh, okay.”
Courtney, “So, what types of things float your boat?”
John, “I like sports and cars. And you?”
Courtney Well as you can tell, I love fashion.”
Ten minutes go by. The waiter brings them their food.
Man, “Lobster for the madam and chicken for the monsieur.”
John, “Merci.”
Man, “De rien.”
John and Courtney are now eating their food.
Courtney, “This is good lobster.”
The piano begins to play while Courtney and John are talking
Piano, “Te amo con todo mi corazón. Yo quiero ser contigo por siempre.”
John, “This chicken is good as well.”
Piano, Yo quiero verle otra vez.
John is now drinking his Coke; the music from the piano stops.
John, “I like this Coke. Monsieur, bill please!”
The man brings John the bill.
Man, “Here is your bill, sign here.”
John sings his name on the bill with a pen.
John, “Thank you.”
Man, “You’re welcome.”
He walks away with the bill and checks the credit card.
Courtney, “Are you ready to leave?”
John, “Almost, I need to wait for the man to bring back my credit card.”
The man now brings John’s credit card to the table.
Man, “Merci.”
John, “De rien.
“El tango” is playing on the piano.
John, “Would you care to dance?”
Courtney, “Yes.”
They dance “El tango” then leave the restaurant. While dancing “El tango”, John and Courtney passionately kiss.
Scene Five: The hotel.
Setting: Inside a hotel room.
John is back from his secret date and Molly is curious to know where he has been. John walks in the hotel room and Molly starts to talk. They are in front of the bed.
Molly, in a curious tone, “Hello! Where did you go?”
John, “I went shopping.”
Molly, in a curious tone, “Shopping?”
John, “Yeah.”
Molly, “Did you get anything?”
John is trying to hide the fact that he was cheating on Molly.
John, trying to lie, “No, I just looked.”
Molly, “So what stores did you look in?”
John, “I looked in various stores.”
Molly, “Oh, okay.”
John, “What are you doing tomorrow?”
Molly” I don’t know yet. You?”
John, “I don’t know either.”
Scene seven: Cheating Two
Setting: The mall
Courtney and John enter the scene from the left. Courtney is excited to see John. There are stores all about the mall. John and Courtney are standing in front of the main entrance
Courtney, happily, “Hello!”
John, happily, “Hi.”
Courtney, “How are you?”
John, “I’m well. And you?”
Courtney, “I’m well thanks. Let’s go in this store.”
John, “Okay.”
John and Courtney walk into a fashion store. They are greeted by a sales person.
Sales person2, “Welcome!”
Courtney is now looking at a red dress. She loves the color red.
Courtney, “How much is this.”
Sales person2, “That is six thousand dollars.”
Courtney is now talking to John. She decided that she wants to purchase the dress.
Courtney, “I want to buy this dress.”
John, “Okay. How much is it?”
Courtney, “It’s six thousand dollars.”
John hands sales person2 his credit card. The woman checks the card in the machine.
John, “Okay, I bought it.”
Courtney, very surprised and ecstatic, “Thanks.”
John, “You’re welcome.”
The sales person hands John his credit card.
Sales person2, “Thanks for buying.”
John, “You’re welcome.”
John takes a taxi back to his hotel and Courtney takes a taxi back to her house.
Chapter Four: Murder
Scene One: The hotel
Setting: Inside John and Molly’s hotel room.
Molly is sitting in the living area when John walks in from the right.
Molly, “Hello!”
John, “Hello!”
Molly, “How are you?”
John, “Good, thanks.”
Molly, “So, where did you go?”
John, “I went to le café but, I left my wallet there.”
Molly, “Oh, okay. I guess you better go and get it.”
John, “I’m leaving now, bye”
Molly, “Bye.”
John decides to go to le café and Molly decides to clean the hotel room. While cleaning the hotel room, Molly finds a ticket with the name Courtney on it. Turns out that John had purchased tickets to a play.
Molly wanting an answer, “Who is this Courtney person.”
Simultaneously, the credit card company calls Molly.
Woman1, “Hello! You spent six thousand dollars on women’s wear.
Molly in a challenging tone, “No, I didn't’t.”
Woman1, “Well, our records indicate that you did.”
Molly, “Okay”
Molly hangs up the phone and is now talking to herself.
Molly, “I better find out who this Courtney person is.”
Molly decides to buy a ticket to the play. It is 8:00pm – time for the play to begin. Molly has discovered that John has been cheating on her and she is so mad that she decides to bring a knife to the play. The play is titled “The Queen and the King”.
Scene two: The killing.
Setting: The theater.
Conversation starts
Courtney is already at the theater when John shows up. John enters the scene from the right. There are chairs all about the theater all facing the stage.
Courtney excitedly speaking, “It’s nice to see you again.”
John, “Same here.”
John and Courtney take their seats, while Molly looks desperately for them.
Courtney, “There’s a good view from here.”
John, “Yes, I agree, these seats are great.”
The play is about to start and Molly sees Courtney. Molly is so enraged that she wants to kill her. Molly runs up to John and begins yelling incoherently.
Molly yelling, “John, how dare you do this to me!”
John, “What are you doing here?”
Molly yelling, “You think I wouldn’t find your tickets?”
John, “Well, yeah.”
Courtney butts into the conversation.
Courtney, “John loves me now.”
Molly now is uncontrollably livid.
Molly yelling, “Shut up!”
In a flash, Molly stabs Courtney and slaps John. She tires to make a run for it but, it is too late, the police get her.
Molly yelling, “Let me go, you pigs!”
While yelling at the police Molly happens to spit in the eye of one of the officer blinding him for about five seconds. The police and John help to move Courtney.
John, “Thanks officer.”
John shakes the officer’s had.
Police officer1, “You’re welcome.”
John leaves Spain with the memory of the death.
