[pre]You know what's funny, if you just say a word over and over and over and over and over and over again, any word sounds weird. Or if you see a word written over and over and over and over and over again, it looks really strange.
it (really!)
drizzle
guzzle
stroodle
skulk
floccinaucinihilipilification (it's real word, i promise! it's pronounced flockə-nowsə-nəkələ-pələ-fək-ation. say it out loud fast, it's hysterical)[/pre]
You only need to say it once for it to sound totally weird.
It's a word relevant to the theatre practices of Bertolt Brecht and is a way of referencing the effect he wished his work to have on audiences -- to distance them emotionally from the action on stage and have them watch objectively instead so that they could take on his political messages.
Shrew is also pretty strange.

*nods hard* That word provides me with way too much entertainment.
"A person is a fool to become a writer."

Debilitating is also a good one. Some poor girl tried to say it on the radio today, but it came out as "deliberating" instead, and completely messed up the meaning of whatever she was trying to say.
And assuage is another nice one to try and say twenty times in a row
"A person is a fool to become a writer."

But that is not the question. Why we are here, that is the question. And we are blessed in this, that we happen to know the answer. Yes, in this immense confusion one thing alone is clear. We are waiting for Godot to come. -Beckett
