Proudest moment?
Got a poem or short story you want me to critique?

There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way, and not to give others absurd maddening claims upon it. (C D Morley)

A man, and I won't say who, once told me "You have to stop trying to live for everybody else, they have their own lives to take care of." I know it's kind-of cheesy, and seems harsh, but it's what's stayed with me through the years.

~Jamie. (This would be after the book, but still)

What one moment defined how you live your life?
But that is not the question. Why we are here, that is the question. And we are blessed in this, that we happen to know the answer. Yes, in this immense confusion one thing alone is clear. We are waiting for Godot to come. -Beckett

The Church- both of them. The big Catholic cathedral next to the girl's school is absolutely beautiful, lit or not...it makes for an amazing hiding place, seeing as almost no one ventures there any time other than Sunday morning. The view from the choir loft makes one forget what they've stormed in to brood about.

And then...Barclett's Anglican church has this grand 'secret clubhouse' feel to it (appropriate, I guess). There's always people there, though. so the only place to go is the attic.
- Upton [who is, surprisingly, very talkative at the moment]

If Blackwell's not there, I mope about in his classroom. If he is there, I either help him correct papers or mope about in the Russian's old office. God knows I can't go in my room- it certainly isn't mine anymore. - Luke

Corporal's Pond, at school. The other pretty rich boys are afraid of twigs, I suppose- the dock is completely overgrown with reeds and the old groundskeeper's cottage is the same way. When I'm in Mr. Smart's apartment...*shrug* I'm always alone. Funny. - Adelais

I'm never alone, pure and simple. The only way to slip away from a moment is to excuse yourself to use the privy- that, or slaughter all of them in a mass swordfight. Only the latter is very appealing, when you're fuming. - Lieutenant

"I don't find my society's fashions to be glamorous. They consider white and purple to be the color of choice, with hair piled on top of one's head in a most outrageous fashion and five-inch heels on one's feet. I can't stand it! That's why I design my own clothes." ~Andréva

"Glamorous? What? All those ruffled collars and lacy shoes make me sick." ~Myron

Er, hey - as long as it's a game, right? Could be any.
-Tov

A what? -Piers

Something like the games, on Nurya, you think? I think it would be too painful- I prefer things like now. The city is a good place for games, too many games if you don't know them. -Tasia
