Battleships RP
What is it?
Battleships is a game where each person has a grid, and a number of ships that occupy spaces multiple spaces on that grid. You then take turns to fire a cannon at a space on the board. Your opponent then tells you if you've hit or missed one of their ships.
The aim is to sink all of your opponents ships before they sink yours.
Battleships RP is the same game, but written as a role play, with vivid descriptions of the battle and the crew. You'll need someone else to allocate your ship locations as they'll all be on the same grid.
How do I play?
The battle takes place in the Storybook forum. You can choose your players beforehand, or you can post up a game suggestion and wait for others to join.
1. Choose your game:
2 Player Versus: A simple format. Take it in turns to aim for each others ships.
Multi Player Battle: This game can hold up to four players. Take it in turns to aim at any player you choose. The winner is the person left at the end.
Multi Player Allience:Players take turns as with the Multi Player Battle. The turns revolve so that a player from Team A takes a turn, then from Team B, then from Team A. The winner(s) are the people left standing at the end after all of their enemy ships have been sunk.
2. Choose your grid:
4 x 4 Rapids.A super simple grid ideal for fast, two-player battles. Each player has two 2-piece ships.
6 x 6 Leisure Cruise. A grid for two players, suited for a longer battle. Each player has a 3-piece ship and two 2-piece ships.
8 x 8 Sea Adventure. Ideal for multiple players. Each player has a 4-piece ship, a 3-piece ship, and a 2-piece ship. This will be a faster game with four players.
10 x 10 Into Open Water. Ideal for four players. Each person has a 4-piece ship, a 3-piece ship, and a 2-piece ship.
12 x 12 Fight for the High Seas. Suitable for four player team games. Each person has a 5-piece ship, a 4-piece ship, and a 3-piece ship.
3. Set Co-ordinates:
You'll need someone who is not actively part of the game to set the co-ordinates of each player and send them via PM. None of the ships should overlap with each other. This person only needs to be active to give out the co-ordinates at the beginning of the game.
4. Prepare the cannons:
Choose the order of your turns and who goes first, and you're ready to go! Don't forget to name your fleet and include #YourFleetName in your posts so others can follow your battles.
