This Summer YOU have the chance to experience the challenge of a lifetime at New Orleans very own recreation centre, Camp Venire. Enjoy a summer of fun at out lakeside camp experiencing a variety of tough challenges created to stimulate and entertain campers from ages twelve to eighteen. Come one come all to your very own Summer of Adventure and face the summer of your life in a month long journey of growth, adventure.

Experience rock climbing, camp wide capture the flag games, art classes, musical and dramatic performances, fencing, nature walks, swimming, waterskiing, abseiling, canoeing, hiking plus lots, lots more this Summer at Camp Venire and all while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the camp’s very own Lake Vetta. It’s a once in a life-time opportunity so don’t miss out. We hope to see you on campus this summer.

Name: Sunny Joule

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Appearance: Sunny stands at five feet eight inches, and has a trim, athletic build. Her skin is lightly tanned, and she has a few freckles on her nose and cheeks. She has bright green eyes, and golden blonde hair that falls just past her shoulders, usually kept in a ponytail. She has a well-proportioned face, and she smiles a lot. She usually wears tank tops or tees, with denim or running shorts, and her favorite boots.

Personality: Sunny is upbeat and optimistic, and will talk to almost anyone. She's very loyal to her friends, and she's always willing to help them. She's sporty and competitive, especially when it comes to her running and martial arts. Although she's very confident in herself, she's smart, so she knows when to back down (most of the time). She loves music, and she won't go anywhere without her headphones. She's very passionate, and will sometimes hold a grudge. Despite her small talk skills, she can be a little clueless socially, and is terrible at reading people.

History: Sunny is the daughter of two scientists (both chemists). She grew up in California just a few blocks from the lab her parents worked at. Her parents brought her into the lab sometimes, so she has a fascination with explosions and other reactions. During high school, she started her band, Nickel 56, with her friends Shaun, Ian, and James.

Reason they're at camp: She needed something to do over the summer, or she'd sit at home all day writing a bajillion songs.

Other: Up for love. Sunny runs on her school's cross country team, and she's taken karate lesson for six years. She's the lead singer and songwriter for Nickel 56, and the band has gotten a few small gigs around town. Sunny is an alto, with a very powerful voice. She's writing songs for the band's first album.

Age: 15

Appearance: Short (5'0), Normal build (more on the thin side),Not delicate looking, Jet black non-dyed hair that reaches her waist (almost always in a pony) and is wawy-straightish and thick, dark brown eyes, always wears rimless spectacles and never lens , perfect teeth - wears retainers at night , clear skin. Bit exotic looking. Has long lashes and dark eyebrows. Always wears a black band and red band in her right hand. pierced ears but doesn't wear earrings.

Personality: Comfortable around girls. Quiet around guys untill she gets to know them. Hates bullies and unfair things. Does not like violence. Believes in Gandhi. Bookworm but loves sports. Sometimes may chose books over sports. Likes to use irony and sarcasm. Appears stoic and only emotional about romance. Psychoanalyzes everything - wants to be a psychiatrist. People ask her for advice about people problems. Does not hold a grudge. Tries to see best in everyone. Does not get angry that easily.

History: Father is half American and half Indian(not native indian), mom is Arab. Considers herself Indian-Arab. Speaks Arabic, English and Gujarati. Has an older sister.

Reason they're at camp: To get away from protective parents , to meet new people.

Other: 1) Curses in Arabic and Gujrati, but never in English.
2)Can raise her left eyebrow.
3)Misses her older sister a lot.

5)Horrible at anything involving aiming(using hands) - Archery, basketball , bowling , carom.

Name: Cody Lockwood

Gender: Male

Age: 17 years old

Appearance: Cody is around 5ft 9” inches in height with a lean, athletic build and lightly tanned skin. His hair is sleek and blonde, falling around his face in a somewhat neat fashion. His eyes are a warm brown colour and his features are all set straight on his face. He is usually smiling. Most of the time he can be seen wearing his favourite pair of well worn in jeans, converse snakers and a causal tee-shirt.

Personality: Cody’s a pretty friendly guy who prefers to look at the lighter side of things and never seems to lose sight of exactly who he is. He likes meeting new people and certainly isn’t shy when it comes to talking to people he doesn’t know. He can be very encouraging and always has a certain sense of what to say when people are upset though he isn’t very good at talking to people when HE is upset. He doesn’t give up very easily and likes listening to people. He does have a darker side though that most people never see and can hold grudges for a long time. He can also be very defensive and has this way of standing up for people he thinks need help. He can be very competitive at times and though he isn’t one to start fights (most of the time) he’ll never turn them down either.

History: Cody’s father is a doctor while his mother is an artist. He has learned to appreciate a lot about both jobs (he also knows a fair bit about both). When he was little he stayed with his grandmother for a few weeks every year while his parents travelled around for their jobs but since he was 12 he started going with them and due to this he’s seen a variety of different countries and picked up a lot of different skills. He has a little (she’s 8 ) sister called Sophie. They are very close despite the age difference.

Reason they're at camp: His parents though it would be good for him to get out during the summer and they thought this was a grat oppurtunity seeing as the owner of the camp is Cody's uncle. He agreed to this, of course, having been to Camp once before (when he was 15).

Other: Up for love. Scared of confined spaces.

Name: Luna Rochelle Wenchster

Gender: Female

Age:19


Appearance: Long raven black hair with silver streaks that matches her piercing moonlight silver eyes with dark violet flecks. Beautiful lightly tanned skin. She keeps her bangs at eye level as most people are frightened. She has a long scar under her right eye and a small beauty mark just below the right side of her mouth. She's 6'1 tall with an athletic build. Her curvy body keep guys interested. She like to wear jean shorts, tank tops and running shoes.

Personality: She's fiercely protective and she doesn't take crap from anybody. And she doesn't have a short temper, she's just fast to react to other people's bull. She's kind hearted and loyal, but doesn't trust easily. She's not afraid of much and stubborn like you wouldn't believe. If you need a shoulder to cry on she's there for you. She tells it like it is and she doesn't sugar coat it either. You respect her, she respects you. Though she may seem like she's well put together, mentally and emotionally screwed.

History:Luna's father served in the military as an Army ranger. Since he was the oldest out of triplets, the others followed suit. On of her uncles went on to become a Navy Seal, and the other a Marine. She also found that on her dad's side in her family had a strong line of military in the family. On her mother's side come from a long line of doctors and lawyers. Her mother decided to follow suit as well and became a doctor. Luna grew up as normal as she could with a family like hers. Then she turned 10. Her father developed an unhealthy obsession for little girls. Luna was no exception. When she was finally free of her father things got back to as normal as they could for her and her family. Luna is like a walking instrument. She can sing, play, and dance. It's a natural talent, and she can just about any instrument you can think of. She has several black belts in martial arts she's worked extremely hard to get, and has never lost a match in her life. After everything that happened, her mother decided a change was in order and now works for the FBI. Luna also has a nifty talent for hacking which has gotten her into a lot of trouble. She plans on joining the Army where she can put this nifty little trick to use without being put on a watch list, which she is currently still on.

Reason at camp:She loves coming here to breathe in the fresh air and reconnect with nature and collect her thoughts before leaving for basic training.

Name: Jeremiah King - Goes by Jeremiah, Miah, and sometimes Jack. Never Jere.

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance: Jeremiah towers at 6'8", his lanky build causing him to be underweight for his height. His hair is naturally strawberry blonde and his eyes are plain green, nothing extraordinary about them in his opinion, with specks of golden brown throughout them. His hair is groomed on the sides and lengthier at the top, curling ever so slightly and falling into his eyes. His skin is pale no matter how long he is out in the sun. Miah has a scar starting at his right eyebrow, traveling straight down his eyebrow, skipping over his eye, and continuing at his cheekbone for an inch. It's not a very long scar, but it's prominent. Also, his left cheek has a scar following his cheek bone, starting at his ear and finishing an inch before it reaches his nose. In addition, his arms are covered in both small circular burn marks and about a dozen long scars on each arm. Jeremiah also has a scar on his chest, right over his heart. Miah has gauges in his ears, but in the absolute smallest size, basically just an ear piercing. Jeremiah’s hands are calloused and worked from years of working with his hands and fighting. Jeremiah is handsome, but he looks a little rough and some find him intimidating because of his scars.

Personality: Jeremiah is far from shy, he’s actually rather outgoing, but doesn’t show it in the typical way. He’s rarely the first to walk up and introduce himself, but he’ll walk up and sit with your or start a random conversation without even knowing your name or giving you his. He’s not one for asking questions and names don’t mean much to him. He’s perfectly content with not saying anything unless he needs to. Jeremiah has a tendency to walk on his hands, something he’s perfected over the years. Jeremiah is strong and silent, a front he keeps up. Jeremiah rarely picks fights, but if he feels threatened he will defend himself and he will protect his friends. Miah is a bit of an old soul, and says he has probably lived a hundred-fifty lifetimes. Jeremiah tends to say strange things like that. After a day or two of knowing someone he always asks the same question: if you were falling off of a building would you want to be face down, and see when the end was near, or be face up, and just kick back and enjoy the ride? He says you can tell a lot about a person from their answer. Miah is a bit of a quiet, intimidating person, until you get to know him and get past his exterior, where he’s really friendly and actually sweet. However, he doesn’t tell anyone anything. Unless they ask. He’s most famously asked, “Why didn’t you tell me?” His answer is always the same, “You didn’t ask.” If you ask, he’s an open book.

History: Jeremiah grew up in Chicago as an only child to a single mother with in-and-out abusive boyfriends. His mother had him at 17 and his father ditched. Jeremiah gained burn marks on his arms from the boyfriends' cigars and cigarettes, those being the only lasting marks. At the age of eleven Miah was diagnosed with a fatal heart condition, his only hope being a transplant. He was on the waiting list for eight months before, at the age of twelve, he got a donor.
As Jeremiah grew up, his mother falling for abusive man after abusive man no matter how much Miah begged her to leave, he fell into a bad crowd. After which his mother began calling him Jack, saying he was no longer her Jeremiah. Jack just kind of stuck, and people call him Jack pretty commonly.
Miah got the scar on his left cheekbone from one of his mother's old boyfriends. Miah punched him when the guy slapped his mother, and a knife was pulled out. Jeremiah got the scar on his right eyebrow/eye from a "friend" who needed money. The scars on his arms came from a motorcycle accident he got into about a year ago.

Reason they're at camp: He made a deal with his mother: if he went away to summer camp to, in the words of his mother, “do something productive” she would go out with Miah’s boss (he works at a garage that fixes cars, motorcycles, and bikes), someone he knows for a fact is a good guy.

Other: Up for love. Jeremiah has something that he calls his superpower: he can pick up any instrument and play any song, as long as he hears it first. But he cannot read music to save his life. He has a powerful singing voice; it’s husky and a bit raspy just like his speaking voice. Most people say they don’t expect such a big voice coming from him. He’s not normally one to sing in front of crowds, but he will if you ask.

Name: Campbell Hope

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Appearance: Standing at 5'5, Campbell has naturally tanned skin. Her wide eyes are a deep brown color and she has a mass of straight, dark brown hair that reaches her waist. She doesn't smile or laugh often, but when she does it lights up her entire face, and is infectious.

Personality: Campbell is very shy. She will rarely ever start a conversation or approach a stranger. Campbell kind of walks around with wide eyes, as if she's seeing the world for the first time. Campbell is quiet, likes to blend in with the background, doesn't like attention drawn to herself. Usually if someone approaches her and tries to talk to her her eyes grow wide and she won't talk for a little while. Usually people walk away, sometimes they don't. Campbell is really sweet, one of the nicest girls, and has a great sense of humor. She just has trouble trusting people.

History: Campbell has been in foster care since the age of six, when her two parents got into an accident while Campbell was with the babysitter. She's gone from one foster family to the next, never in once place for very long. Then she was adopted by the Alexander family, an elderly couple that wanted a kid but were too old for a younger child. She was adopted just a few months ago, but she loves the Alexanders to death already.

Reason they're at camp: The Alexanders thought it would be good for her to get some air, rather than, "stick around a bunch of oldies all the time."

Other: Up for love. She wears her mother's and father's wedding rings on a necklace around her neck -- she never takes it off.

Name: Micah Ross

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance: Micah has chin-length red hair, and a ton of freckles. He has green eyes, and wears stylish glasses (at least, he thinks so). He is around 5' 7" and has a slim figure, but he isn't particularly athletic. He usually wears a button down red shirt and black skinny jeans, as well as combat boots.

Personality: Micah is generally a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He loves being around other people, and tends to talk A LOT. However, he can be prone to fits of sarcasm. He is also fiercely protective of his friends and does not take insults lightly. He loves to read and take walks in the rain, and even though many people think him weird, he tries to make friends whenever possible.

History: Micah has had what you might call an average life: he's done well, but not spectacularly, in school, and hasn't done anything of great importance. He has recently discovered that he loves acting, and has been trying to do as much as he can. He has also been on his high school's fencing team for a couple of years. His family is loving, but they never do anything particularly exciting together, so Micah is psyched for camp.

Reason they're at camp: He learned about camp during the school year, and knew he wanted to go immediately. He's basically here to relax and enjoy himself.
