America's Got Talent

America's Got Talent is a British-owned American reality television series on the NBC television network. It is a talent show that features singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and other performers of all ages competing for the advertised top prize of US$1 million. The show debuted in June 2006 for the summer television season. Starting in the third season, the Talent top prize included US$1 million, payable in a financial annuity over forty years (or the present cash value of such annuity), and a show as the headliner on the Las Vegas Strip.

Among its significant features were that it gave an opportunity to talented amateurs or unknown performers, with the results decided by an audience vote. The format is a popular one and has often been reworked for television in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Your a performer with a dream: win 1,000,000,000 and have a headline show in Las Vegas, not to mention the country wide tour that will soon follow. But your not alone in your dream, and there are people that will do anything to accomplish their goals. The competition is brutal, the sacrifices huge, and the prize even bigger. Some people risk their jobs, some risk their lives. What will you risk for the chance of a lifetime?

This is the worlds largest talent competition, can you take the heat?

Spoiler! :
How the rounds work:

From 70,000 nationwide auditions, the judges advanced the top 108 acts to Las Vegas to compete head to head for a spot in the Top 48. On their way to Las Vegas, the Judges reviewed the audition tapes and divided the contestants into 3 groups. Not all groups that were shown to have passed the preliminary auditions were shown in the Las Vegas Week episodes.

Those in "Group A" were referred to as "the judges' favorites," and performed on Day 1 of Las Vegas (Episode 511).

Those in "Group B", were not seen as favorites and were declared "standby acts." These acts performed for 11 remaining spots after Group A (Episode 512).

The auditions of the "Group C" acts were declared by the judges to be the best and these acts moved on to compete in the live shows directly without performing in Las Vegas.

Spoiler! :
The Judges

Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (né O'Meara; born 30 March 1965), known professionally as Piers Morgan, is the former editor of the tabloid newspapers the News of the World (1994–1995) and the Daily Mirror (1995–2004). He is editorial director of First News, a national newspaper for children. Morgan branched into television mainly as a presenter, but has become best known as a judge or contestant in reality television programmes. In the UK, he is a judge on Britain's Got Talent alongside Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell. Morgan is best-known in the United States as a judge on the show America's Got Talent, and as the winner of The Celebrity Apprentice. He has authored eight books including three volumes of his memoirs. He is the tougher of the three judges, and is very hard to please. He tells things like they are, and tends to give a little less regard for people's feelings. He is always the first to buzz an act offstage.

Sharon Rachel Osbourne (née Arden, previously Levy; born 9 October 1952) is a British author, actress, music manager and promoter and television personality. She is also the wife of rock singer-songwriter Ozzy Osbourne. She came into public prominence after appearing in The Osbournes, a reality television show that followed her family's daily life. Osbourne later became a judge on the talent shows The X Factor and America's Got Talent. Her autobiography, Extreme, has sold in excess of two million copies. Of the three judges, her pattern is unpredictable. Whether she likes an act or mot really varies, and she has a kind heart. She loves a good comedian.

Howard Michael "Howie" Mandel (born November 29, 1955) is a Canadian stand-up comedian, television host, and actor. He is well known as host of the NBC game show Deal or No Deal, as well as the show's daytime and Canadian-English counterparts. Before his career as a game show host, Mandel was best known for his role on the NBC medical drama St. Elsewhere. He is also well-known for being the creator and star of the children's cartoon Bobby's World. On June 6, 2009, he hosted the 2009 Game Show Awards on GSN.[1] Mandel became a judge on NBC's America's Got Talent, replacing David Hasselhoff, in the fifth season of the reality talent contest. He was a supporting character in the 2000 film Tribulation, from Cloud Ten Pictures. He is the softer of the three judges, and likes almost every act he sees. If it's female and on two legs, he's sure to put it through. He argues with Piers a lot.

Personality: She tends to be a it defensive, and will do almost anything to reach her goal. She and her crew want that million dollars, and will do almost anything to get there. She is thrilled to be in the auditions, but has her eye on the prize. Once she is sure you aren't too much of competition, or you prove that you are a friend to her, she will be nice. She's a very loyal friend, and won't back down from a challenge. She doesn't get stage fright, and has a lot of confidence. She can take rejection well. She is strong physically and emotionally. Name: Lorelai Larson (Lor-uh-lie)

Age: (3-93) 16

Gender: Female

Appearance: (picture please)
Spoiler! :
Image

Location: (City, State) Annapolis, Maryland

Act: Loralai will be singing Annie, by Venessa Carlton

Personality: Lorelai is a very talkative person. She talks about random things that don't even make sense sometimes. She has a witty remark for everything. She tends to throw herself to the center of attention sometimes, no matter where she is. She takes life one day at a time and as long as she's happy she's fine. But she also gets sad easily, but she tries to hide it.

Strengths: She's a strong singer, she has a witty remark for everything, she's funny, and she's great at talking someone's ear off.

Flaws: She gets sad easily but she tried to hide it. Some people tend not to like her because she talks so much and she's very out there. She's also bling in her right eye.

History: (This is important. If old enough, include job or occupation) Lorelai comes from a family who travels a lot. In fact, she was born in Switzerland. Her mom and dad would take her across the globe when she was younger, but as soon as she had to start school they sent her back to their house and got her a live-in-nanny. She doesn't see her parents that much, so her nanny Tilly is more of a mother figure than her actual mother. So she ended up like Tilly rather then her snobby, high class parents.

Tilly was diagnosed with cancer four years ago and to Lorelai's great joy she fought it and won.

Her parents come back time to time but they'd leave after a few weeks. Right now her mom and dad are in Paris.

Theme: Annie, by Venessa Carlton-Because Tilly was diagnosed with cancer and thankfully won the fight against it. That's why she's singing it here-For Tilly

Up for Love?: Sure

Name: Olette

Age: 13, turning 14 soon

Gender: Female

Appearance: See below (But her hair is less scraggly).

Location: Knox, Ohio

Act: Piano and violin

Personality: Olette keeps to herself and is sort of mysterious. She is quiet and takes what she does very seriously. She practices all the time and studies hard. Olette is very smart but not very social. She loves quietness and soft music and time to herself. She is very sweet and thankful and polite, but really shy.

Strengths: She is very hard working and serious. She is quiet and doesn't mess around.

Flaws: She is very smart, and that can get annoying. She isn't social and has a bad temper, and pushes herself a bit too much.

History: She had 7 brothers, and she was the youngest in the family. Her brothers always came first with sports, but she knew her parents still loved her. She took piano and violin lessons, along with many other instruments, and she was a protege, but her brothers always seemed to be more important. Because of that, she never talked much and kept things to herself. Even her parents couldn't get through to her. She was always the nerdy smart kid in school, but she didn't care. She was thankful for what she had, though, and never complained. Her parents did encourage her in her talents somewhat and surprised her with an audition for America's Got Talent!

Up for Love?: Not looking for it right now, but if the right person comes along, then yes.

Theme: A Place In This World by Taylor Swift (I'm not very good at this, so I couldn't find anything but simple songs that I could think of)

Location: Seattle, Washington

Act: Magician

Personality: Onstage, he appears mysterious and dangerous, but offstage he's like any other guy. He loves to have fun, and flirts a lot. He uses his magic a lot to flirt with girls. He loves a good party, and people being proud of him. He always has a smile on his face, and is good at cheering people up. He handles pressure well, and whenever he messes up he makes a joke out of it. He is very supportive, and loves helping other people. Likes pranking people. He can be very random.

Strengths: he is really good at magic, nice, fun, handles pressure well, supportive, funny, good actor

Flaws: he doesn't know when to be serious, will lie to spare some-one's feelings, parties too much, doesn't spend enough time practicing, flirts too much

Westbrooke High School would be the 15th school he had been in. Before long, even Westbrooke didn't have a place for him. Up for Love?: definitely

I love AGT :D
---
Name: Bridgette Morgan (bears no relation to Piers Morgan xP)

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Spoiler! :
Image

Location: Los Angeles, California

Act: Singer (country mostly)

Personality: Having been born and raised in L.A., Bridgette is a tiny bit spoiled. It doesn't usually affect her personality, but can on occasion. She tries to be nice, but she just can't hide the fact that she doesn't care about the affairs of others. She is all too happy to stay away from anything that is not her business and does not involve her. She doesn't really bother too much with the affairs of the world either. She's kinda in her own little world, and tries her best to stay away from this one. But in this sea of things that she does not care about, there are things she would do anything for. Animals are one example, getting a career as a country singer is another. She is usually friendly to people she knows well, but when it comes to making her dreams come true, she's about as competitive and conniving as they come.

Strengths: Singing (duh) and all performing and visual arts except dance

Flaws: Dancing and sports

History: Bridgette was born and raised under the bright lights of the city, but she visits relatives on the east coast every summer, and has so far enjoyed a country life too. Bridgette wasn't like every other big-time singer; she hadn't been singing since she was born, since she was 2, or come out of the womb singing. She began singing in fourth grade and has been in choir and various singing programs around her community ever since. She's still a junior in high school, but she volunteers at an animal shelter any time she can

Up for Love?: Sure

Theme: Fame by Naturi Naughton. She is hell-bent on becoming famous, one way or another

Other: She is deathly afraid of spiders and loves dogs. She usually has really bad stage fright, but she tries to hide it as well as she can
Singing: It's more than my forte; it's my fortissimo
---
They say "Guns don't kill people. People kill people."
Well, I think guns help. If you just stand there and yell BANG I don't think you're going to kill too many people...

Name: Tess Ruio (roo-ee-oh)

Age: 16

Gender: female

Appearance:
Spoiler! :
Image

Location: Manhattan, New York

Act: Acrobatics. Tumbling, mostly, but she can do bars, trapeze, aerials, pretty much everything. Her acts are complex tumbling routines to her favorite songs. Her audition- Break, by Three Days Grace. She'll come up with new ones if she makes it further.

Personality: Spunky and independent, and always ready for action. She's a city girl through and through, and doesn't miss a beat. She's slightly sardonic, but most of the time is just a fun person. When she does lose her temper, though, she's likely to shut down and will prefer to be alone. However, this doesn't happen much, as she has a good sense of humor and doesn't take herself -or a lot of things- seriously.

Strengths: acrobatics, easy to get along with, typically is a fan favorite, funny, theater arts, resilient, listens and learns from the judges' critiques.

Flaws: bit overconfident, risktaker, stubborn, practices until her social life is in shreds, proud to a fault, can push herself too hard, can offend without meaning to.

History: Tess is from a wealthy family, most of whom live in the Upper East Side. She, however, lives with her older sister in downtown Manhattan. Her sister, Rhia, is an actress, and at one of her shows, Tess (actually short for Tessandrea) saw the dancers doing an acrobatic act. She decided, right there, she wanted to do that. She was eight. Rhia put in her in classes right away, and because of her early start, is slightly petite. She studied hard, afraid to be dropped because of bad grades, and is very smart. She was a junior trainer as soon as she could be, and when tryouts came to NY, she took the opportunity immediately. Her family in the Upper East Side is rather distant, but she and her sister are very close, and she has the support of Rhia and the entire gymnastics center.

Up for Love?: Pft, of course!

Theme: Just Dance, by Lady Gaga. Her life is kind of crazy, but she keeps going, and makes it work for her.

Other: This is her favorite hoodie. Take away the dude. She wears it a lot, with a black slim cut tee and boot cut purple jeans, and black low tops. That is, when she's not practicing or performing.

Spoiler! :
Image

Her shoes (black low top Converse) have neon blue shoelaces. Whenever she does practice, she's in Soffe shorts and a sports tank, often with her hair pulled into an (admittedly stubby) ponytail.

Spoiler! :
ImageImageHer clothes for practice. She's normally barefoot for practice, or in dance shoes.

Danny Charleston-Singer/Dancer

Our application had been filled out hours ago. Sean and Dale had fought for nearly five minutes about who got to fill it out. But it didn't matter right now. What mattered was we were on next. I fidgeted with my skinny jeans, and adjusted my vest so it was perfectly aligned with my t-shirt.

Nick Cannon, the host of AGT, came up to us. There as a good chance this interview might go on TV.

"You guys ready for this?" Nick asked us.

He held the mic to me, "We wouldn't be here otherwise,"

"Do you have what it takes to move on to Las Vegas?" Nick raised an eyebrow.

"We're good enough to win this." I said with pride.

The Linwood Resort in Seattle was hosting tonight's auditions. In less than a minute we would be on that stage. The last act finished, and they moved the things we needed onto the stage. Ten seconds, five seconds. And then we were called on.

Judge Howie said into his mic, "And who are you?"

"We are Violet Illusion, VI for short," I said, gesturing to my crew.

"And what do you do?" Sharon asked us, grinning.

"We sing, and dance," I answered, beginning to get a little nervous. No, Danny, concentrate!

"Okay, let's see it." Sharon grinned, and the music started. We were doing a shortened version of Pump It, by the Black Eyed Peas. Me, Ricky and Tod were singing and dancing. Sean and Dale were just dancing. I focused more on remembering my dance steps, but that was for the best.

Step, cross, square. Double cross, jump, spin. Freeze, run, back hand-spring. Stop, sing. Shake hips. Pop it, lock. Step, step, step, kneel. Spin, dip. Kick. Hold, spin down, and up. Split, hand up. One handed hand stand, jump up. Shimmy, drop, around the clock. Freeze. Look at judges.

Most of the audience was out of their seats, clapping. Probably because of Dale's back flip. Or maybe because of Sean's double back handspring. Or maybe just the performance as a whole.

Nick stepped onto the stage, "Judge Howie?" he asked for his comments.

"I loved it. I like the energy, and you have a beautiful voice. The whole thing was very wow. I vote yes." he laughed, and I grinned.

Judge Sharon spoke next, "You are such talented people. This whole thing was so much fun. How old did you say you were?"

"We range from 15 to 17." I said. The audience clapped some more.

"I vote yes," she said. Ricky hugged me, no matter what Piers said, we were going to Vegas.

"Piers?" Nick asked.

"Look, it was good. I liked it. I think you deserve to go to the next round." he tapped is hand on the table in front of him. "You are going to Vegas."

We all started screaming, accompanied by jumping up and down. We were going to Vegas!
Love is beautiful, but what would love be without life?
