Our DT: post731714.html#p731714

Plot:

It should be a great day, Neserada's king has just discovered his daughter has chosen a man to marry (not to mention he is the general of the kings army)! There should be rejoicing and merriment. There should be rejoicing, but there isn't. Why? Because the enemy country, Acoteg has captured the Princess. The king of Acoteg wants that land to be his own. Neserada is the largest and most prospering country in the world. Acoteg couldn't compare for the longest time. Many wonder if this was planned, because in the past few months Acoteg's military has tripled in size, most of the country consists of warriors now. The king of Neserada will not take this! Acoteg has caused war in the past. If the king of Acoteg did marry the princess he would have the military power to control all man kind. There have been rumors of a third group mobilizing. What will they do?

Spoiler! :

-Cussing is allowed, but no f-bombs and not every time your character opens their mouth
-Killing NPCs is fun, but don't kill someones carrie without they're permission

-If you choose one of the MAJOR rolls like general or king, I beg of you DO NOT become inactive
-Keep the guy/girl ratio even, in reality a guy surrounded by girls = happy, here... guy surrounded by girls = boring

Have fun with this be creative don't let it be one of those story books that dies before we reach page 5... Strengths: Flying, coming when called, catching mice rats and bugs, locating people

History: He was born when Celia was 11, and given to her as her 13th birthday present

Princess

Name: Ceria

Age: 18

Country: Neserada

Appearance:
Spoiler! :
Image

Personality:She appears to be a shy and quiet girl, the normal 'I'm just a sweet little princess' kind. But she certainly isn't she is tougher then she looks and twice as sarcastic. She'll chew you up and spit you out. She has an answer for everything. Mind you she does have her caring side, the sweet and emotional one. When she reaches her breaking point she tends to cry.

Strengths: Swordsmanship, hand at hand combat, fast on her feet and rather flexible

Weaknesses: Terrible aim, can't swim, not so strong physically and doesn't know when to give up... but I guess that's a good thing to...

History: She grew up in the castle, with her father and his many servants. She saw the general around, and when she got older she actually sat and talked with him. They became great friends and he taught her all she knows in fighting. One day while she was out about town some rouges tried to take her down, but the general saved her, together they fought them off and the two fell in love.

Up for love?: Given her predicament and the fact she's already in love, I'd say no.

Other: She talks very loudly and vividly in her sleep.
"Even in the end --even in death-- I can't hate you." - Neri Hereford's last words.

"The Gods demand blood, for they... do not bleed." Jaska.

General

Name: Joram

Age: 24

Country: Acoteg

Appearance:
Spoiler! :
ImageFair-skinned and fair-haired, with blue-green eyes. Thin, lanky and deceptively frail-looking. Prefers white/clear-colored clothes that add to the harmless appearance.

Personality: Usually smiling, polite and soft-spoken, with an innate elegance that has only been enhanced by training. He's considerate, charming and intelligent, clever and sharp. That's the face he shows the world: strip off the mask and you'll have someone completely unpredictable, the smooth edges torn away to show the ragged threads of a mind that's fraying at the edges. On the battlefield, all the charm leaves; all that's left is instinct, action-reaction, a laughing madman reveling in the chaos.

Strengths: Good at charming people, and an absolute whirlwind in battle. He's an excellent fencer, extremely fast, and tends to get so much into the fight that all pain is temporarily dulled (only to crash back with a vengeance after the fact). He's intelligent and ruthless enough to have held his position as general for years, so he's not someone to disregard. He can play on people's perceptions of him, and doesn't shirk from what could be considered cowardly or horrific acts. He is strangely reluctant to lie; he'll divert questions with others of his own, but if cornered, he'll more than likely blurt out the truth. Thankfully, he's got Emilian for that.

Weaknesses: Not the most stable, mentally-speaking. He can get distracted, or prioritize things in ways that may not seem quite logical. A constant need to be occupied, and he starts getting frantic very quickly when left to twiddle his thumbs.

History: There's always been a history of strange things going on in his family, but Joram young was a perfectly normal child. A bit on the wild side perhaps, but so charming he could get out of any punishment with a smile, a lesson he learned quickly and that has stayed useful to him to this day. He somehow joined the army, again smiled (and now killed) his way up the ranks, to where he is now, while the cracks in his mind grew just a bit larger. Emilian came in as a sort of stabilizing influence, but there's still space for improvement.

Up for love?: Yes.

Princess, Acoteg. Back soon with a profile.

Name: Callista Rosalva.

Age: 19.

Country: Acoteg.

Appearance: (please no anime)
Spoiler! :
Image

Personality: Callista seems timid, kind and naive but she's not shy or afraid to speak her mind, which often gets her in trouble (luckily a certain General always seems to be there to get her out of it). Prone to dropping things, Callista has been ordered out of the kitchen until she thinks she won't break anything. Fierce and loyal, Callista can't stand to see those she cares about hurt or threatened. She's timid for a reason-the castle is not the best place to live as many of the men there see the maids and other female staff as easy prey. Surprisingly, Callista does have a fiery temper, but she'll only lose it when she's been pushed too far.

Strengths: Callista knows how to use a dagger and is fast on her feet.

Weaknesses: Other than dagger work, Callista can't fight. She also has a fiery temper that can sometimes get out of hand and tends to drop things.

History: Callista was born in the castle and grew up running through the halls. Her mother is a kitchen maid and her father, as far as she knows, is unknown. For as long as she can remember, Callista has been shadowed by General Joram. At first it was just the odd day or two every couple of weeks, and then it was every week and now it seems that he's there every day, when he's not doing important General duties. There is a rumour that the King is Callista's father, though she's not sure if this is true or not.

Up for love?: Yes.

Other: Callista is the king's illegitimate daughter.

King of Acoteg. Will edit profile as I finish it. Finished.

Name: Tigad

Age: 38

Country: Acoteg

Appearance: With his mousey brown hair and weak brown eyes, middling height, and average build, Tigad isn't the most striking appearance-wise. Though he spends most of his day sitting around indoors, he keeps trim by practicing his fighting techniques during the morning in the yard with the castle guards. He dresses modestly and simply in practical colors, often earth-toned, with the only adornment a brooch that denotes his position as king.

Personality: Kingly. Tigad rules Acoteg, and he knows it. The responsibilities of being a ruler weigh heavily upon him, however, and as a result, Tigad comes off as emotionally detached and quite harsh at times. In private though, the kingly demeanor disappears to reveal a gentle and considerate man, often exhausted by the strain of ruling a failing country. His main goals in life are to be a good king and to bring lasting prosperity to Acoteg.

Strengths: Being a king, Tigad is quite skilled in the art of diplomacy, persuasion, and blackmail. His resolve is strong, and he's not above doing what it takes, no matter what it takes, to achieve his goals, even if it involves killing people. Even so, Tigad tries to keep a just and merciful mindset about matters, often going the less severe route whenever possible.

He's capable enough in both armed and unarmed combat. He's not the best of fighters, but he's not the worst, either.

Weaknesses: Stubbornness is Tigad's main failing; once he makes up his mind on a matter, it is made up, and there's no swaying him. He can also be a bit short-sighted and temperamental, which sometimes results in him being harsher than he should or intends to be. Also, even though he really should know better by now, Tigad wants to, and often does, believe the best of people unless clearly proven otherwise (and sometimes not even then).

Tigad is nearsighted from spending several hours a day for many years doing paperwork. He also tends to tire quickly, due to lacking stamina.

History: When Tigad came to the throne, Acoteg had just lost a war and was suffering the consequences: famine, disease, poverty, and anarchy. His first few years were spent restoring order in the land, which meant dealing with squabbling nobles, way too many bandits, and fending off land-hungry neighbors, which resulted in the transformation of Acoteg into a highly militant country. Due to a lack of focus on agriculture and industry, Acoteg's economy is currently failing, and Tigad has turned his sights to prosperous Neserada, the acquisition of which he hopes will bring Acoteg back from the brink of ruin.

Up for love: Yes. He hopes that the Neseradian princess will come to love him in time, but he's not about to spend the rest of his life lonely, either. There's also the matter of producing an heir...

Other: Nothing at the moment.

Name: Kai Loru (kye lore oo)

Age: 17

Country: Acoteg

Appearance:
Spoiler! :
Image

Personality: Bold. Independent. Headstrong. A natural born, natural raised fighter. What she lacks in softness, and on occasion, caring, she more than makes up for in power and skill. She has a soft, weak side, but it's incredibly deep down, buried beneath layer upon layer of harsh, defiant, pure Kai-ness. If she doesn't like you, watch out, and if she does, do the same.

Strengths: Fighting close range, fast, strong, athletic, brave.

Weaknesses: long range, violent, if you hit right between the shoulder blades she's out, gets lightheaded, sometimes doesn't eat enough.

History: Kai was born to a family of all boys, as her mother died in childbirth. Her father had wanted a boy, and thought that he could raise Kai as one anyway. So she was taught to weld, fight, climb trees, anything her brothers could do. She was made into a warrior at fifteen, and loved it. It made her family proud, she had a release of stress, tension, and feeling unloved, and it helped her country. Win-win.

Up for love?: Yes.

Other: Doesn't believe what the king is doing is right, but of course doesn't say that, as she wants her country to be respected too; she just wishes there was another way.

King

Name: Ghia

Age: 34

Country: Neserada

Appearance:

Personality: Strong willed and family oriented. He's a friendly but strict king, and believes in being good to his people. He will sometimes give out favors to his people, if they do small tasks for him, such as water the gardens or feed his horses. Sometimes he has to remind his kingdom that he is the highest of power and should not be challenged, but that is very rare.

Strengths:

Weaknesses: His daughter, wife, and his friends. He trusts too many people, even though it is a small number.

History: His father was king before him, but the country was in poor condition. When he father passed away, Ghia was still young. He has worked many years to bring his people out of poverty. His wife passed away only one year ago, so it still pains him to think about her.

Up for love?: Maybe.

Leader

Name: Marlon Grey

Age: Unknown (Appears as a young man)

Race: Gryphon Switchling

Country: The city state of Gor Nathal.

Appearance: In his human form, he is an average looking young man; does not stand out of the crowd because he doesn't like to draw attention to himself. Silver cat like eyes are his only constant feature. In his gryphon form, he has cloud grey feathers. He is very strong in either form.

Personality: He is a very busy guy. He has two sides to him; on the one hand is a very noble and strong side; the other is ruthless and mercenary.

Strengths: His greatest ability is the ability to 'switch' from a gryphon to a human and back again at any time. He has been trained in warfare and is highly educated. He is smart enough to know what to do and capable enough to pull it off.

Weaknesses: He is a bit impulsive at times and this complicates already complicated plans. His organization is well connected, but it also has much less resources than either of the two nations.

History: Marlon Grey gained his ability to switch after a witch cursed him. She wanted to expose him to look as he was on the inside. After quite a bit of time, Marlon grew so that he could take on a human form or a gryphon form. The intervention of a wizard allowed him to control which form he could take.

He is the capable leader of the Grey Ghosts, a mercenary group which runs the City-State of Gor Nathal. When nations need to hire mercenaries, they go to Gor Nathal. Entire regiments are stationed in and around the city, of varying size and quality. The new war presents him with an enormous opportunity, not just to make a lot of money, but to make a statement as well.

Up for love?: Yes. In particular, he'll be developing an interest in the Princess of Acoteg.

History: He grew up as a normal prince should, but started taking outings to villages when he was 12 and being completely unorthodox when he turned 13.

Up for love?: Yes

Other: Not much other. He's not very attractive, but he has a lot of girls after him because he's a prince. They just want power.

Name: Howell "Howl" Espenson

Age: 30

Country: Gor Nathal

Appearance: Howell is tall and thin, with lean muscles and tanned skin. He moves with an uncanny grace and prides himself with his agility. His hair is cut short, to his ears, and is a brown, shaggy mess. His eyes are a pale green, with a ring of brown around the pupil. He stands at approximately 6’ 2”.

Personality: Howell, often called Howl by his friends, is a boisterous and well-meaning man, with a quick wit and an even quicker temper. He is easily provoked and will often take comments the wrong way, but he does his best to control himself and will endlessly apologize if he offends anyone. He's generally a nice guy, and will firmly stand up for what he believes in. He's fiercely loyal to the Grey Ghosts, as well as being a brave and fierce warrior.

Strengths: He's good at seeing a situation from multiple angles or stand-points, as well as staying calm amidst chaos and disorder. He's also a skilled and seasoned warrior who's willing to die for a cause he believes in.

Weaknesses: He'll be the first to admit that he lets his temper get the better of him too often. Often, he's impulsive and reckless as well.

History: Howell grew up without a mother - a fact that didn't seem to bother him in the slightest. His father, a brute of a man named Gregor, taught the young Howell nearly everything he now knows about fighting, whether it's with a fist, dagger, or sword. Spending much of his time around boys at least two years older than him caused Howell to develop a biting sense of humor and a bit of a temper in order to survive within the group. When he was seventeen, his father mysteriously disappeared - presumed dead - and Howell struggled to make a living in the small town he was born and raised in. Finally, at the age of nineteen, he gave up and traveled to Gor Nathal in search of work, and has remained there since then. He became associated with the Grey Ghosts at the age of twenty-four, and has so far seen no reason to leave.

Up for love?: Yes. Just please ask first.

Other: Howell is in charge of the Special Ops battalion for the Grey Ghosts. He has 700 men and 300 gryphons under his command, but still answers to Marlon. His battalion is located more towards the center of Gor Nathal.

Ceria - out in the woods

I loved riding. Horse-back riding was relaxing after a day of dresses. I thoroughly despised those things. They were to big for their own good, and impossible to move around in. I shook the thought out of my head and took a deep breath. I loved the smell of the woods, just as much as I loved horse-back riding. It was a little cold, but that was to be expected. I held on tight as the horse began to pick up speed. She jumped over a little stream and continued running along. We were getting to far off, and it was getting dark. She slowed down and became uneasy. I wondered what it was she sensed that I couldn't? I pulled the dagger out of my boot. Neseradain horses do not get frightened over nothing. I heard something move in the bushes behind me. I could feel my heart rate increasing. I dismounted the horse, patting it's neck, it snorted and stared at the bush.

I took a step towards the bush, dagger ready. Every step I took was warier then the last as my heart began to race. When I was in arms distance of the bush, I moved a thick branch, to expose a large rabbit. I sighed in relief, turning to the horse.
"See, nothing to worry about." I slid the dagger back into my boot and took a step towards the horse, the horse took a step away. I took another step forward, and again, it stepped away. I looked into the horses eyes. The horse wasn't staring at me, it was staring past me. I swallowed hard and turned my head slowly. Before I could turn around to see what it was a hand covered my mouth and another grabbed my arm. My muffled screams hardly audible. The horse whinnied and took off running. I pulled my arm free of the man and elbowed him in the ribs, quickly turning and punching him in the face.

I hesitated for a moment, then started running. What was going on!? I heard him following close behind me as I ran towards the castle. Everything flew by me, it was almost as if it was the world moving, and not me. My feet pounded against the cool forest floor, I could feel the dampness through my boots. I turned my head to see the stranger gaining on me. That made me push myself more, running faster then I thought I could. You'd be surprised how fast you could run when your life depends on it. I pushed off the ground to hop over a root, but it caught the hem of my dress and made me fall. I grunted as I hit the ground. I pulled myself up, but the stranger had caught up to me. He grabbed my arms and quickly bound me. I screamed, listening as my voice echoed through the forest, he gagged me. I started kicking at him, he grabbed at my ankles. I wouldn't give up that easily! I kicked his face and pulled myself up, but I couldn't run this time.

He grabbed my ankle and tripped me. I fell, unable to put my arms out to restrain the fall. I gasped as I fell and groaned as I hit the ground. He quickly scrambled to his feet and picked me up. Was I that light? He hardly seemed to be making an effort! I struggled to break free, ropes rubbing up against my wrist and turning the skin tender. I whimpered and tried to break free of his grasp as he began to walk. I couldn't let myself be abducted! But it was useless. He, had won. I stopped wiggling and focused on my wrists, trying to get the ropes undone. He walked nonchalantly. He would pay! He let out a whistle and I heard something approach us, several things. People? I heard a winnie, so at least one horse.
"Good job there!" One congratulated. He set me down on a horses back, so my stomach was against him. I looked up to see another guy.
"Won't be long now little lady." He said before curling his hand into a fist and punching me in the face. Darkness clouded my vision and I fell unconscious.
"Even in the end --even in death-- I can't hate you." - Neri Hereford's last words.

Cassandra Bliss
I pulled up my pants, belting them closed. Then I walked out from behind the curtain. My mother turned to me and shook her head, disapprovingly. "Stupid girl!" she said angrily. "Change into a dress! You're not a man!" She turned around and muttered to herself. "Although she might as well be."
I reluctantly went back to the corner and changed into my old, tattered dress. Then, I headed outside.
Five boys laughed at me while I walked to the middle of the fighting circle. They must have been visitors. Everyone who lived in my town knew not to laugh at me. Today, I was up against a man who was about 6'1". I could take him.
He lunged at me, oustretching his arms as if to hug me. I ducked, and he tripped, then turned right around, lunging at me again, but this time from the side. I shot out a leg and stomped on his foot, then twisted around to his back and jumped up towards his head. Then, I twisted his head sharply until he surrendered. It lasted about two minutes.

The next guy was pale, and skinny. I knew his type, they always used their size for advantage. He was strong, but I knocked him out in minutes.
After I punched the next guy in the face, a tall, fair man stepped into the middle of the circle. He was adorned with the Neserada insigna of royalty. I stared him down. He gulped, and then laughed.
"You are truly amazing," he said, cracking a smile. Then, he put his hand out. "I'm Prince Farloom, but I hate my last name. I would rather be called Prince Aaron."

I looked at him incredelously, taking in his proud expression, then said, "Nice to meet you, buddy," and turned on my heel. I could read people well. That guy was not one to use his powers for evil. I could call him whatever I wanted to and he wouldn't hurt me.
As I walked away, I heard his laugh.
