Lunch, yay... i always found myself sitting alone. But that didn't matter, i had my health, and my glass of water. I parted the water down the middle, sure it was no river, or ocean but meh. Lunch was my quiet time, i hated that. I wasn't one to sit still for to long, and the classes felt like forever. "Relax." I said to myself. aloud. Great so now i was talking to myself. 'Just get through your daily cycle and you'll be back in your bed before you know it.' i said to myself mentally. i took a sip from the glass to discover my water was getting warm, gross. I tightened my fist in frustration. Frustration for what? I wasn't sure, but the water completely froze.

I walked over to one of the girls who had frozen the water in her glass entirely. She was sitting alone and looked frustrated. "You alright?" I asked. "I'm Katie."

I smiled up at the girl. "Absolutly fine." I said. She pulled out a chair and sat. This was weird, no one ever sat with me. I sat up straight and slowly loosened my grip on my fist, making the water, just start to melt, and took a sip. Much better. "What's your element?" I asked setting the cup down. "Air." She said waving a hand and a soft breeze blew through my hair. Water and air, sitting at the same table. both free flowing and dangerous. "Awesome." I commented. She smiled. I grabbed my apple of my tray and took a bite of off it. I hadn't noticed i had grabbed my pendant. Something didn't feel right.

"Colleen," she said. She still looked a bit uneasy but I didn't question her. I barely knew her and I wasn't one to pry. We were in silence for a few moments.
Finally, I said, "What is it?"
"Something doesn't feel right... I don't know what." she sighed and shrugged her shoulders. I kind of knew how that felt, so I nodded. I didn't ask further- there was nothing more to ask on that subject. I liked this girl, though. I didn't have many friends, mostly because I didn't open up to anyone, but she seemed to be someone I could relate with...

"what's yours?" i asked. "My what?" She asked, looking slightly confused. "Your name?" I sat back in my seat, still fiddling with my necklace. "Oh! It's Katie." She said, shifting back in her seat. I got bored, and when i was bored i played with water. I tipped over the glass and spelt her name out with water, tightening my fist and freezing it. "It's nice to meet you." I smirked at her, before sprawling my hand out and boiling the water into mist and setting back into the glass. She smiled at me, i loved being able to control the element water.

I used the air to raise the glass up. She made the water come out of it and I made it into a few spirals, then she set it back into the glass and I set the glass down. "You have to admit, that was pretty cool," I said, grinning.
She laughed. "Alright, I admit it." The bell rang to signal the end of lunch.
She stood up and grabbed her book bag, as did I. We went into the hallway. She turned to go to the class, but I went the other way. "Where are you going?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I heard something up in the attic earlier, a voice. I'm just going to go check it out," I called over my shoulder.

I couldn't believe that lunch was already over. They definitely didn't give us enough time. I barely ate half of my food. Then again, I never did eat a lot.
I decided to skip my next class. People had done it before, and the teacher never did anything about it. I liked gym, but I just didn't feel like doing anything today. I roamed the hallways of DeCelion mindlessly, looking for something to do.
A girl passed by me, then another girl struggling to keep up with her. I shrugged. I had nothing to do, so I decided to follow them.
"Where are you going?" I asked the girl in front.
"To the attic." she replied.
I raised one eyebrow.
"Why?"

People were giving me dirty looks. A lot of dirty looks. I went to hide, and as they say. The only way is up. I went around the school to see how high I could get. I saw a girl just stood there aimlessly.
" hello?" I questioned. She turned sharply to look at me. She gave me an evil glare to warn me to go away. I heard whispering, a voice from above. Above her was a wooden hatch and she was looking like she was trying to find a way to open it. I gave a small push of wind and it swung down dropping a ladder to get up. I turned and walked away, leaving her to it.

Autumn
The boy left after opening the hatch to the attic. I watched as he passed me. I could tell that Katie, the girl that I was with, along with Colleene, didn't like him, but I didn't know why.
"Who was that?" I asked.
"Thomas Drole." she said with disgust. I was a little confused. I had never heard of him in my entire life.
"For some reason, that doesn't really help." I said. Katie laughed a little, and started walking up the latter to the attic without another word. Colleene followed closely behind us, out of breathe from having to run to catch up to us.

As turned the corner, then doubled back. I waited until I heard the last creek of the ladder go. I shyly poked my head around the corner. I saw the last foot enter the attic. I walked back down the corridor and push the hatch back up. They were not getting out of there. I wanted to know what was in that attic. I gave a surge of air so that the door jammed. I heard their panicked voices then waited for one of them to call out.
"The names Thomas by the way" I shouted up " Thomas Drole"

"Well," I said, "I see why you don't like him." I continued pounding on the door, but it wouldn't budge. I heard Thomas chuckling from below.
"You're going to pay for this." I told him. I looked over at Katie. She was wandering around.
"What are you doing?" I asked her.
"Looking around." she replied.
"I see that, but for what?"
"I heard something up here, and I want to find out what it is."
"Curiosity kills the cat." Thomas called.
"Shut-up Thomas!" I yelled. "Nobody wants to here what you think." He just laughed. I had a feeling he was just going to sit there. If he left, someone would let us out, and of course we would tell them he locked us in there. He was such a jerk!

How I love to hear them panic I thought to myself. I gave the hatch a nudge and it fell down. I stood there smiling up at them. She looked frantic.
"Fancy sharing what's up there" I said trying to act innocent. She gave me a look that could have killed me if she tried hard enough. She stepped aside allowing me to get up.
"OMG" One of the girls shouted
