Setting and Plot
In the year 3680 humanity has finally perfected the use of lightspeed engines. Called the Hyden Engines. Named after Professor Nicholas Hyden. Humanity has explored the neighbouring galaxies and formed alliances. The world is somewhat at peace with a recent treaty uniting Canada and USA. The UK is the most powerful country with it fantastic Panetheon Armada to protect from the stars.

Our story begins when The Demeter a secondary Cruiser with 500 fighters and 3500 people on board catch a distress signal from a new galaxy. Rather than call Earth they abandon the fleet. Captain Rigg was always a reckless one.

Description:
A brave but reckless guy, always eager to jump into his fighter. Often ignores Captain Rigg. Has a head for adventure. Extremely arrogant, but still great person, socialising. Spends times off in Cruiser bar, trying to get some fun. Loves his fighter so much he gave it a name. From Ireland originally, and still carries a slight accent.

Caucasian, Short brown hair, with boyish looks, resonant green eyes, that just hyponotise. Clean shaven and always appears happy. Wears old jeans mainly with fighter pilot jacket (says it gets the girls quicker).

History:
From Ireland, he always wanted to be a fighter pilot, and when he was accepted into academy, he and his friends celebrated by getting kicked out of all bars in Ireland. It was quickly apparent, though he had he appeared just in it for thrills, he actually had skills.

Left the Academy and was put on a Secondary Cruiser. Mainly getting under Captain Rigg foot and being put in cooler for trying to seduce anyone who was female.

Job: Bar staff.

Description: Anabelle is quiet and shy, gets nervous pretty quickly and is a bit of an ice queen. She doesn't like crowds and is a little anti-social, preferring to be alone than amongst a large group. Anabelle works in the bar-which she can handle doing-and is Scottish. Unlike her brother, she no longer has accent.

Height: 5'5

Appearance: Tall with shoulder length, dark brown hair, pale green eyes and fair skin. She looks kind but appears distant since she's not keen on the whole social thing. Often seen wearing black jeans and a dark red peasant top, and a cross around her neck.

History: Grew up with her brother in Scotland and when the chance to go into space came up, she gave up pretty much everything to go do so. Like Alex, Anabelle's parents has been dead for ten years and she only has him with her.

Name: Alexander Sloane.

Age: 20.

Job: Scientist's assistant/intern.

Description: Alex is quiet, kind and caring but he tries to keep up a cold, harsh facade. He's Scottish and has a bit of a temper but rarely loses his temper and doesn't like it when he does. He still has a slight accent and likes to spend time away from the labs-when and if he ever has time off. Tends to break rules a lot and get in the way-especially when he's in the lab.

Height: 5'9.

Appearance: Messy brown hair and light brown eyes that are often mistaken for a really muddy moss green. Always seen wearing jeans, a button up t-shirt and a leather jacket or a lab coat if he's been helping out in the lab. He has a small scar on his stomach from when he got knifed a few months before leaving Earth.

History: Grew up in Scotland and when the chance to go into space came up, Alex gave up everything to go do so. Alexander's parents has been dead for ten years and he only has his sister with him.

Occupation: It doesn't have a defined job name, but he's pretty much knows anything technological.

Description: Keeps to himself, doesn't really like dealing with other people. Is annoyed easily, but is smart and cool under pressure. If something is fixed, he can fix. If anything needs hacked or broken into, nothing will stop him. If you ever seen Stargate Universe, he is like Dr. Rush in personality.

Appearance: Caucasian with brown hair, average build, towers over most people. His main attire includes; blue or black jeans, t-shirts or sweatshirts, and black leather boots. Wears dark shaded, wire-rimmed glasses, 5 in long bracelet-like device on wrist that is actually a high-tech computer that is constantly receiving bios' of the ship as well as control some of the minor systems on the ship, like opening doors. There's five long scars on his back from shoulder to hip.

History: American, no friends. He doesn't talk about his family, but the five scars on his back are from past abuse by his parents. W.as taken from his home and sent to an orphanage where it was discovered he had a high IQ. Graduated at the top of his class with a Ph.D at the age of 18 from MIT. Worked for NASA for a few years designing shuttles, but was chosen as a representative of NASA's engineers to go on one of the British ships.

Name: Lucy Lovett

Job: Repairman. Well, repair woman.

Description: Lucy is the farthest person from girly girl. She's tough and can hold her own. She the kind of girl who stole your lunch money in grade school and tripped you in the halls.

Height: 6'1"

Appearance: Lucy has thick, long blue-black hair that looks like the night sky. Her wide emerald green eyes are surrounded my a frame of thick eyelashes. She wears white or black tank tops, army green shorts, and black combat boots

History: Lucy grew up with four brothers and her father. Her mother died when she was three. She's worked for small car shops repairing things. Then she went to NASA. She has no idea where the rest of her family is.

Name: Sarah Willar

Age: 19

Job: A biologist who studies mainly species from other galaxies

Description: She can be bubbly and social, but if you get on your bad side, she can and often will, make your life a living nightmare. If she's working on something, she expects others to respect that and let her work in peace. She often hides her true emotions and tries to presume being cheerful around others.

Height: 5"5

Appearance: Long black hair that reaches just below her shoulder blades and dark skin. Her eyes are so dark brown they're almost black. She's average weight and doesn't wear much makeup. She often has begs under her eyes from working late and getting no sleep.

History: She parents were African and moved to Canada when she was only a baby. They both died in an automobile accident a few months after her 18th birthday. She was very close to her mother and hasn't quite gotten over her death. She moved to Finland shortly after her parent's death to study.

Name: Claudia Chi'ng

Age: 18

Job: She flies one of the fighters.

Description: She's stubborn and doesn't hesitate to shoot. She's also very tough and hates being thought of as a useless woman. She's loyal while it works for her, and doesn't trust easily. But in a fight where creatures or people are in close or far proximity, she's one of the best things to have.

Appearance: Tall and asian. She has intense dark black eyes and long black hair. Very pretty but she doesn't care much about that.

History: At sixteen Claudia got pregnant with her daughter, Tomoko Chi'ng, who, at two years old, lives with her Grandmother as a nanny when Claudia goes out on her 'jobs'. At the moment, Tomoko is two years old.

When she was 15, Claudia fell in love with a man who betrayed her and left her pregnant with Tomoko. On Claudia's birthday, she had the child. After her mother ordered payment for taking care of Tomoko and Claudia, Claudia got her job as a bounty hunter. When she was caught, however, she was turned in and instead of being imprisoned, she chose to go to the academy to learn to fly a fighter.

Distant, sad woman with a zeal for medicine and science, and enjoys debates of philosophy and science; a natural leader with a no-nonsense attitude during professional conduct. Romantic interest is decidedly hidden; but is open to romance, that is, if they can get her attention.

Appearance:
Dark layered hair with plantinum blond streaks, ice-blue eyes, pale skin, and a usually blank face. Typically wears a purple sweater-vest under her lab coat. her most notable acessory is a bracelet made of blue glass, crafted from minerals found on a distant moon in a different galaxy.

History:
The only daughter of a renowned neurosurgeon from the States, she graduated Yale with advanced medical training and a minors in anthropology, extraterestrial life, and social science.

She immigrated to the UK shortly after the truce was called between the nations.
Jules joined the crew to find new oppurtunity outside the overcrowded, constricting social and physical environments of the Earth.

She is notable on the ship for her intelect and abilities to treat various ailments.

Her fiance was a mechanic who was killed when he was sucked out of the ship during an accident; since then, she's been rather depressed and distant.

Name: Logan Fields

Age: 22

Job: Language expert. Serves as a translator and communicates with alien races.

Description: I young man that although mature in his knowledge. He is mainly naive about life and how to interact with people. When uncomfortable he laughs or smiles. He is very passive and will try to negotiate even when a gun is pointed at his head. He hates physical conflict and will avoid it at all costs. He believes strongly in love and will not consider being with a girl physically unless he is in love. Since he has never been in love he is a virgin.

Appearance: Has a mop of brown hair and green eyes. He tends to smile a lot, which usually comes off as strained and crooked. He often blushes and has retained a small amount of flush to his cheeks permanently

History: He has always been fascinated by languages. He learned most of the ones on earth and decided to challenge himself by learning those in space. He did this partley to get away from his drunken mother that paid the bills by selling her body.

Job: Counselor- She deals with people that have gone crazy on board. She usually deals with people suffering from home sickness.

Description: A nice woman that likes to help people out. She's very opinionated though and very often will get in verbal fights with people if she thinks what they're doing is wrong. She has OCD.

Appearance: Long blond hair, blue eyes. She is very pale and wears her hair in a ponytail most of the time.

History: She was adopted and never knew her parents. Her adopted parents coddled her and set up many restrictions which caused her to rebel by literally getting as far away from them as she could.

History: Coming from a perish home he earned a scholarship to go to collage and went through many majors before settling on Astrology. At 22 he graduated with honors and two Master degrees.

History: Her father was a fireman and died in a fire when sh was really young, her mother, a doctor, remarried a few years later to a Biology collage professor who inspired her to study bio-chemistry.

Appearance: Short strawberry blond hair (Due to an incident she never stops talking about!), Deep blue eyes, Quite tanned, Isn't fat but isn't skinny either, Uneven eyebrows, Is always wearing a pair of leggings, grey boots and a long dress-top.

History: Lizzie was born in the Kentucky but moved away after an argument with her alcoholic mum when she wouldn't tell her anything about her father. She lived in Ontario for a while and then started binge drinking with a couple of her friends at the age of 15.

After a while she drank everyday, smoked every second day, and began injecting herself. One day her friend died in a car accident that has left her with several scars running down her arm, she decided to stop drinking and take control of her life.She moved to the UK and decided to stay clean. She finds it ironic that she ended up as a Bar Waitress.

Description: She is very quiet but is ready to speak her mind when needed. She is very laid back. She is shy when it comes to meeting other people and is normally buried in her work.

Appearance: Straight light blond hair with a purple streak on the left side. (She got it when she was 15 because her friends thought she wouldn't and it never came out) She has light blue eyes but wears purple contacts, so they are a dark lavender most of the time. She normally wears jeans and a t-shirt.

History: Despite her home life (her mother was bipolar and her father was always away for work) Carten graduated 2 years early from high school and has been working as a neurologist studying the brain functions of creatures found on other planets. She owes her career choice to her mother who's condition made her learn about brain functions at an early age.

Appearance: Short, messy black hair, with bright green streaks, blue eyes, she has gold contacts, but they're really scratched up so her eyes look like gold flecked with blue when she wears them, Wears bright colors and huge drop earrings, has a chain tattoo around her wrist

History: Mother was an alcoholic, and her father left before she was born, she ran away at age 9 and grew up moving around alot. Hid in the storage compartment of the ship on a dare.

Name: Roan Chbosky

Age: 24

Job: Second-in-command of the ship

Description: Although Roan hates his superior officer, he loves the public he serves above. Often found sidetracked from his jobs while talking with civilians, Roan is a sour-sweet addition to the ship's crew. His subordinates love him, but nag him on constantly for his short attention span and his tendency to lust after the nearest aura of beauty. However, when focused, he is a gifted and beloved leader, and the word has passed around once or twice that he would bring about fresh air to breathe were Riggs to...not work out.

Height: 6' 2"

Appearance: With short, spiky black hair and power-blue eyes, his appearance almost demands respect. He has a strong jaw and is drawn up in perfect proportions. A visual leader through and through. He wears his form-fitting uniform at most times, which is a mix of blue and black material some say to be harvested from space, and wears his old engagement ring on his ring finger, though his fiance died from Andromeda Fever years ago.

History: Roan was born on the Orion Station, from from Earth. His father was a fighter pilot for the armada and his mother was a research specialist for the DMA (Dark Matter Analysis) Team. They fought back against Roan when he first wanted to leave for the military academy, but they finally gave in once he met his to-be fiance, Natalie Storms in basic training.

Fueled by Natalie's cheers of support, he flew through training and through the ranks to Assistant Captain of the renowned ship, The XX Vitality. However, after two years of service on the great ship, he was reassigned to a less-known fleet under command of Captain Rigg, The XX Demeter.

Other: He's up for love, but after losing his fiance, he'd consider lust before love.

Name: Isaac Vanderbilt

Age: 21

Job: Lieutenant Commander (Right below Roan, basically 3rd-in-command)

Description: Isaac is a fop through and through, but not as much as of a playboy as Roan is. He's very concerned with appearances. He worries a lot, enough to make up for everyone else who doesn't. Isaac also tends to fret on the inside, not mentioning his concerns to anyone else unless he believes they will listen to him. Is always prepared for anything. (See crazy prepared.) His good friends will note the very slight frown he wears whenever he believes something will go wrong. Otherwise Isaac seems quiet. He's a bit of a wallflower and you won't notice him often, if it weren't for his looks.

Height: 5"11

Appearance: Isaac keeps his platinum blond hair in a fashionable trim and wears glasses not because he has to, but because they give him an air of sophistication. His gray eyes are quick to take on the dominant color around him, so they seem to be different colors under different lights and areas. He keeps up with trends and is never caught wearing something ugly.

History: Isaac grew up as a sort of doll for his mother, and therefore learned to appreciate things for the aesthetic qualities rather than their practicality. As an only child of an old couple, he was spoiled and, in return for good grades, got everything he could ever want.

As a child, his ability to foresee or predict most possible outcomes did not go unnoticed. His school's clubs would often ask him what he believed was the worst-case scenario and prepare for it ahead of time. As a result, any group that had Isaac always got high scores because they always, always prepared for the worst. His parents were proud of their son's penchant for preparation and often boasted about it.

He entered the military voluntarily and, with a tiny bit of his parents' help, got to his position without much field work. (Of course, he was still ready to go to war if ever asked of him but...) He had been assigned to a handful of captains and his mission would always come back successful.

When he was told to go with the reckless Captain Riggs, Isaac actually tried to use all his influence to get out of it. Captain Riggs is Isaac's worst nightmare as the captain is completely unreliable and never really willing to listen to anyone. Needless to say, he failed and was assigned on the XX Demeter anyway.

Job: Bar Owner
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual

Description: A friendly, casual man who doesn't let anything worry him and who loves to be surrounded by a crowd almost as much as he loves those sexy one on one conversations. Shaun spends a lot of time bantering with his customers and is well known for keeping a safe and sociable bar. The glasses are clean, the drinks are skillfully mixed before your eyes and if the patrons can't keep their hands to themselves, they'll have to face the journey stone cold sober.

Appearance: A broad shouldered hunk of a man with a clean shaven face and curly, brown hair. His eyes are a handosme, dark blue and his features are softly sensual but masculine.

Personality: Shaun is smooth and confident and has the ability to hold more than one conversation at once. However, he's also a closed book. He loves to talk about other people and comes across as a caring, protective man. He likes to gamble, he loves making bets, he loves money, men, even flirting with the odd girl though they don't take his fancy. Sorry ladies but this is a package purely for the men.

History: There's nothing much to say. What little Shaun gives away hints of a life of excitement but who knows, maybe that's just a cover or maybe it's not.

Family: A younger sister whose just turned 20 and works as one of his staff. Pretty little thing with a slim figure, dark hair and lovely blue eyes. Goes by the name of Imogen. So off limits. Trust me.
