Okay, next time we have a block and can't think of anything, let's post ideas and whatnot here. Sound good?

So, I think we should have some sort of big bestie(s) guarding the library. My first thought was dragon, but that's kind of boring and we already have one dragon as a good guy. Any ideas?

Perhaps giants or ogres or something? Or maybe necromancers who want to claim the secrets of raising the dead and stuff for themselves?

Excuse the ignorance but what's a Wyvren? I like the necromancer idea, but mabye the necromancer/necromancers would not be human, but instead could be some kind of bestie (cause besties are just too cool to leave out).

With the intellegence of a lizard and a temper worse than mine (and trust me, it's bad!!). A Wyvern would work...I like that idea!

OOH! How about a fifty foot tall, 1000-year-old wyvern that shoots ice from its mouth? Hey, maybe it can also shoot lasers out its eyes!

that sounds WAY robotic...what if wizards or something were riding the wyvern...A wizard, to be more exact...A VERY SUPER powerful wizard.

A necromancer then. They're super powerful wizards with death magic.

I was just joking with my last post. I say it should be a Wyvern. If we put in a necromancer then we'll have to put some sort of story behind why he's there. If it's a Wyvern we can get away with saying it's there because it's there.

Just something to keep in mind:

Rope/=bungee cord.

Where bungee cord will stretch, bringing you to a gentle stop, rope won't stretch (as much) it will just bring you to a stop.

If you stop suddenly from falling with a rope tied around your torso, it will probably crack a rib, if not worse. The injury isn't fatal, but it is very painful. The only cure is to let it heal on it's own, which can take weeks.

This wouldn't just affect the elf, but the dragon the rope is tied to. Being a dragon would help, but it would still jerk you down slightly.

Just a little reminder from a guy that paid too much attention in physics.

Yes, cracked ribs are very painful. I had some back in early June. But what does that have to do with anything? You completely lost me!
