Geist pointed to his head. "They've got giant egos up here. Almost all of them are convinced that nothing could possibly go wrong with their summoning, and that they're 'doing the right thing'."
Taber laughed. "I'm happy I'm not one of those people," he said. Then he hesitated, mouth open. "I mean, I usually don't think things can go wrong, because there's always a good side to things, and I try to do the right thing, but I don't think I have an ego? And I'm not all that tasty anyway." He laughed again, more nervously, glancing between Geist and Sebastian.

"Yeah, I probably wouldn't eat you if you messed up on summoning me," Geist casually said, finally pulling away from Bo and walking over to where Taber was. He gave him a large grin, all of his teeth abnormally sharp. "Probably, anyways-"
He was cut off by the sound of Sebastian letting out a loud groan.
"He wouldn't," Engel quietly commented from the part of the room he was standing in. "He would be happy to see a friendly face and completely ignore the mistakes. That's what he's been doing with Sebastian the last couple of times he's been summoned."
Sebastian stared. "Wait, what?"
"You've been making mistakes left and right," Geist cheerfully said. "You better not summon someone else; they'd probably bite your head off the moment they appeared in the pentacle!"
Sebastian grew noticeably paler.
"I'll double check it for you," Engel hurriedly offered.
The color returned to Sebastian's cheeks. "Thanks, Engel."
Sebastian shook his head. "No. I just have to dismiss Geist every once and a while, which means I have to summon him back to this dimension later on. Engel never has to leave, so he was offering to check my summoning pentacles to make sure I don't make any mistakes in the future."
"Oooooh," Bo said with a nod, but only with half the understanding. He didn't completely get it, but at that point he was too confused to even know what to ask.
Raiden popped out from out of nowhere, wearing a suspiciously familiar Star Wars t-shirt. "Hey, sorry for losing everyone for a bit there. I was a bit busy. What did I miss?"

Two possibilities exist: Either we are alone in the universe, or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.
"I forgot!" Taber said with a shrug. "It feels like we've been here a while, doesn't it?"

Bo scratched the back of his head. "I've uh... I've gotta admit I'm really confused myself, but basically, we haven't found out much apart from that we think the smell is from someone getting eaten. Which means there's some kind of cannibal on the loose. So, you know, super casual."
"They might not be a cannibal," Engel quietly corrected, walking over to where Bo was standing. "They could be something else - something not human. I don't think they're another spirit. We're technically not supposed to eat anything that isn't from our own dimension; it upsets our essence too much."
"They're both pretty bad!" Taber said. He laughed anxiously, looking in either direction. "So, uh, why are we arguing about this?"

"Well," Geist said, crossing his arms in contemplation, "a cannibal's just a person. It's fairly easy to kill a person. But if it's not a cannibal, then we might need a specific way to kill it - which would be a bit hard to research if we don't know how to do that already, since the WiFi's out."
"Oh," said Taber, smiling in the least genuine way he possibly could (but he didn't know that). "Neat."

"So really, it's just a waiting game, then," Bo said. "We either wait for it or them to find us, or we keep exploring this building - though its falling apart - until we find them, or walk into a trap."
