(Sorry, Kasie. I'll get there, I promise. >>)

[Matt]

I truly was tired, and the more my urge to flop on the ground and rest my aching limbs increased, the more I become miffed with myself for not keeping myself in good shape over summer break. Sure, I did my pushups and went to the gym on occassion, but training with two Bludgers was something else entirely.

I wanted to lean on Adri, but didn't dare. And not just because she probably couldn't handle my weight.

"Head's fine, really," I replied. "Thought it might be a good idea to get that healing spell down."

We were nearing the castle now; there was time for just a few more words.

"So what class you have next? I think I've got Charms, though I'll have to double check."

Adri

I looked at him; I could see the weariness in his eyes.

"If you ever need to lean on me, just say so," I spoke, my voice soft and soothing. "As for classes, I have DADA."

Damn. She was good.

Unfortunately we had already reached the castle. I took a quick glance at my watch; breakfast was already in full swing, yet I still wanted to rest for a few minutes in the common room. But I had snacks back in the dormitory, and I still needed to check whether I really had Charms or not.

"Sorry," I said; I truly was. "I'll have to take a rain check. I'm going back to the common room to have a little rest before class. See you at lunch, yeah?"

I cuffed Adri lightly on the shoulder, then swept off toward the common room. It was nearly empty when I arrived, with most of the Slytherins already at breakfast. I paid a quick trip to the dormitory, where I confirmed my classes and munched some of the food I brought from home. Then I returned to the common room where I collapsed on the first chair I saw, resting my head back and closing my eyes.

After a few minutes rest, I heard the sound of the someone entering the common room. Out of curiosity, I opened my eyes and looked up.

Standing there was a someone I had never seen before. What made it odd was that she was about my age; definetely not a 1st Year. And while I didn't pretend to know every student in Slytherin house, I certainly would have noticed this girl. Yes sir, I would have. No doubt about that.

"You new here?" I asked her, sitting up slightly. "Transfer student or something?"

Enid - yeah I'm soo excited : )

'Yes, yet again I am the transfer student' I reply to the handsome boy beside me. When he merely frowns at me in confusion I decide to elaborate a little.

'Hogwarts is my third school, let's just say I've been asked that question a lot'.

'Phindin' he states simply and holds out his hand.

'Enid' I reply accepting his handshake and noting how he refrained from pestering me with questions like most new students did. I wonder to myself what age he is. When he asks me that very question and offers his own year group in reply I find myself pleased to find we are both in sixth year. Life at Hogwarts could turn out to be pretty good if he was anything to take example of.

I mean how could it not be if I was to be surrounded by males as gorgeous and unquestioning as he was. However as I walked alongside him to the great hall I realised I had still to meet the females and they, no doubt would be a lot more questioning then he was and a lot less accepting.

I grinned as I thought of the excitement and games ahead. He looked at me with that confused frown once more and open his mouth to speak.

(Sorry if it's too long, I was just so excited to get started!) xx

Welcome RoryLegend to Slytherin! Phindin and I currently have our characters walking down to the great hall for breakfast, that would probably be a great time for us to meet and we're both transfers! Woo hoo!

Rowan-

I stumbled down the hallway, mumbling to myself, well mostly cursing. This map was no help at all, it just made everything more confusing. I had no idea what time it was or where I was supposed to be. I had my class schedule, but I wasn't really planning on going to class if I couldn't find it. The good-bye between my mum and dad and me kept playing over my head. It was the most unemmotional good-bye ever, like we were complete strangers. Which I guess we kind of were. I though I had found something, but when I opened the door it was only a broom closet.
"Oh buggar!" I said a little too loudly and I stomped my foot on the ground a little to hard. I slammed the door shut and adjusted my robes. We rarely wore robes at my other school, mostly because it was so hot all the time in Australia. When we did get the occasional snow fall we all pulled out our robes and went outside.
I heard a snicker from down the hall and looked up. There were two people, a boy and a girl, wlaking down the hall and they most likely saw my little breakdown.

(This is a common mistake among people for are new to RPing, Kasie--or storybooking, I guess, in YWS terms--but be careful not to mistake usernames for character names. My character's name is Matt, and he would probably introduce himself as such. Again, just a minor issue; God knows how many times I've done it.

And now you all get to dive into the deep end of Matt's head. =P)

[Matt]

In a matter of minutes things had gotten very complicated. Before I knew it I found myself walking to the Great Hall with the new girl--Enid--and wondering vaguely what I was trying to pull. I had plans for Adri. Adri knew that I had plans. She seemed… open enough about it, what with offering a shoulder to lean on. But chances were that she was eating breakfast in the Great Hall, and I didn't particularly want to saunter in there accompanied by an attractive girl after telling her that I was going to rest in the common room.

However.

Adri was a schemer, and from what Karsh seemed to think, she had planned to jerk the two of us around throughout the year. And while I held no vindictive feelings toward Adri--she hadn't actually started jerking us around yet--it would be somewhat unreasonable for her to be miffed with me for hanging around with other girls.

Speaking off which.

Or 'witch.' Ha ha, pun.

I was in the process of asking Enid whether she played Quidditch--it seemed like she had the body for it--when we turned a corner and saw another girl around my age that I didn't recognize having a fit with a broom closet. And she wasn't hard on the eyes, either.

This was getting ridiculous.

"Another new girl?" I said, both baffled and amused. "You need some help finding your way around?"

(Since we actually have Slytherin Quidditch players now, I think I may have to impliment some method where Matt can become the captain, just to make things easier. I'll have the former captain contract a dire illness or something. That all right with you guys?)

(evil laugh.. dire illnessess.. haha!)
Rowan-

"Um that would be nice." I replied to the boy, "Only, I'm not quite sure where I want to go." The boy gave me a rather sympathetic yet pitying smile.
"How long have you been wandering around."
"I dunno." I said, noticing the girl next to him who wouldn't pull her gaze away from him for more than a few seconds at a time. And why not? He was stunningly attractive.
"We're headed to the great hall, care to join us?" The girl asked looking at me and then back at the boy.
"The Great Hall?" Was that where a class was? Did they name their classrooms? Things here were so much more confusing. I couldn't wait for the next holiday when I could go visit Karren and Jack again.

(Hey..what time of year is it???)

(Hmm. Things are getting very interesting! Nice intro to interperson problems!)

Adri

I sat down next to a few first year Gryffindors, barely filling my plate with bacon, eggs, grits, and a biscuit with gravy. Not much, I knew, but it was all my tiny waist and stomach could handle at a time.

I paid no attention to anyone else. My mind wandered as I ate...

What had Matt planned? What could I do that would stir up Karsh and Matt but not get them in a fight? If I had to choose, which would I pick?

So many questions, and it was only day one.

Wonderful.

(2nd day, Rory. 1st day of actual classes.)

[Matt]

Damn the Great Hall. I didn't want to go to the Great Hall. Yet a quick check of my watch showed that there was still a sizable amount of breakfast time left. I could stall it out, probably, but it would be selfish for me to deny the two girls a meal because I didn't have the balls to face Adri.

So we were off to the Great Hall, the concept of which I explained to the newer new girl as we walked.

"It's basically just where we eat," I said. "Not much else goes on there. Except they say it's where Harry Potter killed Voldemort in their final duel. I'm Matt, by the way, and this is Enid. She's new too."

We made it to the Great Hall faster than I wanted. Once inside, I made a feeble atempt at concealing myself behind the girls as we passed the Gryffindor table, quickly steering them to an open spot at the Slytherin table. Licking my lips, I stole a quick glance at Adri in order to gague her reaction.

('Oops! I'm so sorry, I'll have to keep an eye on that and sorry about the introduction! The Slytherin captain thing is fine with me and if no one minds I'd think I'd like to become a chaser? The idea just to came me recently. Let me know.)

I enter the Great Hall with Matt and the new girl who has introduced herself as Rowan. Early on I found it difficult to drag my eyes from Matt and now I was faced with the problem of having to drag my eyes from him and Rowan.

Unlike most girls I wasn't jealous of the other girl who like me, praised Matts' face and body as often as she could. To the contrary it pleased me, first of all it meant that I wasn't just becoming delusional, Matt was actually stunning and secondly it posed the starting of a game.

However it wasn't only that Rowan was very pretty too, I found myself entranced at her petite features and flowing black hair. She appeared sweet and friendly too although I remembered with a smile her tantrum earlier on. She's new too, perhaps we can be friends and at least that way I won't be completly lost on my own.

Lost I would be no doubt, finding my way to the Great Hall was like following Matt blindly through a maze, I noticed by the look on Rowans face that she was as baffled as I. As we entered the Great Hall I was stunned at the ocean of students who ran about me. The hall was bustling with people eating, talking to friends, practicing spells they should have learnt last night and buried in books they should have read earlier.

I noticed how Matt, completly unfazed by the bedlam which surrounds us he lowered his head and walked briskly to the table at the far end of the room. He sat down on the long bench ignoring a girl with a thigh high skirt who winked at him seductively. I slid in beside him, and before I realised how close to him I had moved I felt his leg against mine.

It unerved me, why was I suddenly so shy and frightened. I had alreaady been to two schools yet none of them seemed as big, as mad as this one. I hadn't meant to sit so close to Matt yet I sought comfort from his large frame and from the only person who had been nice to me so far and who understood this maddness.

I realsied Rowan looked shocked too and scared as well as she sat herself down closely to Matt on his other side. I saw his eyes flicker underneath his lids, we were making him nervous. I grinned cheekily at Rowan she returned my smile. Scary Hogwarts might be but the bigger the school the bigger the fun I thought as I tucked into a bowl of porridge.

Adri

I finally broke my train of thought, and looked up. Chancing a glance at the Slytherin table, I found that Matt was being "escorted" to his seat by two new girls. Both very pretty and unable to take their eyes off of him.

I grinned, rolling my eyes as I stood. You HAD to be a hunk!

Wait. Did I just say that?

Either way, what would sitting next to my only Slytherin friend hurt? Maybe I could find friends in his new classmen.

"Hey, Matt," I called as I got in range and sat in front of him. Nearby Slytherins glared at me and shifted uncomfortably, but I didn't care. "Who're you new friends?"

I smiled shyly, exchanging glances with the girls in what I hoped was a friendly manner.
