"Oi! You! Over there!" I called pointing, "What about you? What are you here for?"
He glanced at me in suprise then came over and intoduced himself.

Dallas ~

A girl in pigtails was calling me over. I walked slowly over to her.

"The name's Dallas." I said

"Okay but what crime did you do and what's your wanted fee, der-brain?" I said.
I was really starting to get pissed.

Dallas ~

"I'm a Grand Thief, you may have known me as the Sticky Note Thief. You may not have. I'm not exactly sure what my wanted fee is, I'm wanted in about ten countries, so my guess is it will be pretty high..." I said.

I looked at her in the eyes, mine a deep blue, staring into her soul.

"You...?" I said slowly.

Vixen

"Wait a minute," Vixen started, "Your THAT Hunter."
It clicked now. That's why the chick looked so fuckin' familiar.
"You're Joseph Valdez's litlle sister right? That shithead went and fucked up a delivery job. A fucking delivery job! How do you manage to fuck that up, huh? He managed to set not only the mafia on us, he managed to get caught by those dough bags in blue!
And he set the fucking Interpol on me. I hope for God's sake that you don't share the same shit for brains Hunter."
Brent kept the food on a lopsided table as the rest of them spoke. Vixen hadn't realized how hungry she was till she saw it. Chowing down , she looked around, and watched the uptight little kid piss off Sticky Note.

Tully
Meredith wolfed down his meal quickly as the others, like children trying to prove their superiority, talked about their crimes. Why the hell did they need to know what he did to be here? He killed people and he enjoyed it, there was no need to get sentimental over any particular occasion. He did like the knives the joker had brought in, they were nice and small, good for quick up jabs, working the way around the ribs and into something important. Tully preferred big ones if he was going to be honest, nothing like a machete to put the fear of god into someone. Tully reached into his bag and pulled from it a serrated blade from it. He flipped knife over and passed it handle first to Mark.
"Take this, good for carving." Tully said with a horrifying smile

Caley

I watched the young girl interrogate Dallas. I heard him mention the Sticky Note Thief. I walked over to him, acknowledging Shanaya and waiting until she was finished talking. "Wait, so you're the Sticky Note Thief?," He nodded, "Damn."

"And you are?," asked Shanaya.

"Caley Starm, serial killer." They looked slightly frightened.

Hunter

After listening to everyone else tell about themselves, I realized that there was someone who was remaining silent. He was listening intently to what everyone had been saying. A strange feeling started to bubble up in my stomach. Ignoring it, I then turned to the one who had been most silent.

"So Brent," I say while placing my hand under my chin and leaning forward, "What about you?"

After everyone goes through, Hunter turns to me and asks what I've done. I leave them guessing for a minute before responding.

"Murder." I say. "Triple homicide, to be exact. The price on my head was around $45 million the last time I checked. My friend, Isaac, is an serial arsonist, wanted for around the same amount."

I decide to let this settle in before going on into more important matters.

It was kind of funny to hear the ridiculous prices people placed on their own heads. My mentor, and best friend, once told me, "Half of the money compensates for their crime, the other for their ego." It was very true, especially here, I was sure of it.

I didn't speak, I had a modest price, if any, on my head as people saw me as a sort of Robin Hood, that is if Robin Hood stole millions of dollars of expensive ammunition, weaponry, and protective gear from the government and sold it to the revolutionaries, radical extremists, or the religious fundamentalists. I was friends with the people, and even knew some guys in the force, so nobody was that keen on putting me behind bars.

I went up to Issac who was surveying the scene with a sense of pride. I had taken a full plate of food with no intention of eating it. That was one of my issues, I had an aversion to food and would throw up any food that made it past my lips. My simple solution was to eat as little as possible and in small amounts.

"Hello Isaac." I stood next to him and tried to follow his gaze. "Does this make you happy?" I asked him, in all seriousness, trying to gauge his reaction.

Once the little chick was done screaming, Isaac simply shrugged, and grinned.

Meanwhile, Hunter had recalled something Vixen had said. She turned to the brunette, and said "Oh, Vixen?"
"Yeah?"
Vixen ducked, barely avoiding the punch Hunter had thrown at her.
"What the fuck, woman?! I barely know you! What are you picking a fight for dipshit?"
"That 'guy' who has shit for brains, my 'brother' as you said, was none other than me."
"Oh, sorry. You were in disguise? Didn't the doughbags in blue catch you?"
"Like fuck they would. I ran the minute their backs were turned. And none of those mafia bozos stayed around to help either."
She threw another punch, and Vixen ducked. "So, it was a simple mistake! Why the girly punch out over it?" asked Vixen.
However, Hunter didn't seem to be in a talkative mood. Realizing that she had to do something, Vixen pulled out the Japanese daggers hidden in her boots. One of them accidently scratched Alisa, who decided to join the fray.
And from then on, it escalated into a full - scale brawl with all of them participating actively.

Brent

Great. I guess I should have expected something like this.

"People, please!" I raise my voice to be heard. "Break it up! We do not deal with misunderstandings like this!"

When no one makes an attempt to move, I step in and pluck the culprits from the crowd. I separate Hunter and Vixen and stand between them, looking back at the rest of the group.

"Break it up!" I repeat. "Do you want the cops to show up? A brawl's bound to get their attention!"

They begin to settle down, distancing themselves from each other. I notice a few are hurt, minor injuries but injuries nonetheless.

"Rule number one," I say, still shouting, "to stay safe in a group, to stay hidden from your pursuers, you must be quiet."

I break away from the girls and stand on the lopsided desk, kicking the empty platter to the floor. Isaac follows like a lost puppy, standing behind me.

"The louder you are, the more attention you receive. The more attention you receive, the slimmer your chances at getting away are."

I pause, scanning over the others.

"From now on, you are allies with each and every individual in this room. If you don't like it, then get the hell out. We have no need for what just happened, and if it is to happen again there will be no one to stop you from killing the person next to you or to warn you when the police show up. I am not playing the parent in this group of children. You want to fight, you pay the price for it."

Pausing again, I wait to see if anyone will move to the door. When no one does, I continue.

"This is not just a safe haven. This is not some place where you can get some sort of shelter from whatever it is you're facing. This is not somewhere you can get free food." I say. "If you stay here, you become part of a team. A team where you can use your talents while confusing the hell out of the cops. I assume you are all here for all of those reasons. Just don't think you can slip out of the part about becoming a team. Because if this doesn't work, I can always get another lot of convicts. I'll be fine. Will you?"

I look over the crowd once more, feeling in control for once that entire day.

It wasn't the speech I had ready...but it worked.

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.
— Brené Brown
