James~~
I pulled myself easily onto the short roof and crept along to the right, keeping the beasts in sight and making sure they didn't see me. When Simon nodded I shot the zip gun. The bolt slapped into the things neck and I dropped down with my sword drawn to finish it off. The dog jumped to the side as I landed, forcing me to roll. I came back up as Simon's sniper hit another dog, knocking it over. The one I shot had blood dripping down its neck, and it was limping. It lunged and I feigned to the side, slipping my sword in through the bullet hole, causing it to scream in pain. I jumped back as its claw came forward, but it was faster than I expected. I guess most animals were. The claw hit my shoulder and I flew through the air like a rag-doll until I hit a car. The metal crunched under me and I fell to the ground. I threw my knife as the dog charged, but it only scraped along the side. The dog tripped and I darted in, sliding the sword along the beasts ribs. It fell to the ground at last and I finished it off, whispering a prayer for its spirit as it died. It was not a christian thing, more of a Native American thing, but it seemed only right to pray for the spirit of a beast that should not exist, even if we could not eat it.
