When everybody has two characters...pshhxhoney and AyumiGosu17 haven't posted yet.

We have 9 kids, three bad guys, and one leader spot open. I'm aiming for the leader spot, another bad guy and at least three kid spots to be taken before we start. Five spots and counting!

I posted three people, so someone can just grab those...I already have like five characters....

And so it begins!

I woke to Emily shaking me. "Andi, we're here."

Opening my eyes was a difficult task, the sun shone brightly on the snow - blinding my dilated eyes. It took me a moment or two to realize what was happening. "Emily! I fell asleep on you? I wanted to stay up until we got here."

"You needed it. I didn't mind it really. Besides, you haven't slept in threedays," she chided me. "Everyone's up - including Allie, the leaders have their orders and schedules, and Petey and I have our pass-keys on." She handed me mine and continued. "Now go get dressed. We have to get the children at 8:00 sharp."

I slipped out of the divider window easily, and landed on my bed next to Allie who was reading a picture book. "Mornin' Andi!" she chirped as I reached under the bed and pulled out a light jacket, a baby-doll tee, flat boots, and skinny jeans. As I looked up, Emily was right - the leaders were all at their laptops memorizing schedules.

We were all like family by now, so I dressed in front of them. Everyone knew how long each other took to dress. I didn't have to make sure the men were peaking. If they did, I'd know - and if I knew, they'd be burning before you could say "kumquat".

After I dressed, Petey flew to my shoulder and we meet Emily outside the CSV. "Alright, you guys, let's go." The officers opened the gates and we walked into the Headquarters. Which looked like the Pentagon but with seven stories and a lot more protection.

Allie

Allie was so excited. She could see that they were about to go and get all of the other children. It has been months since she has had child company.

She jumped off the CSV and ran up to Andi and held her hand. "Andi, will there be anybody my age?"

Andi looked down at her. "Maybe," She seemed a little distracted.

Allie looked up with awe at the giant building ahead of them. She had never seen anything that big.

A bird flew up and landed on her shoulder. "Wow," Petey whispered.

Wow was right.

Andi - Head of Caravaan

All four of us walked into the Headquarters at 6:45, and didn't get out of security check until 7:45. That only left about fifteen minutes to find Chief Malcolm who was the Head of Headquarters, hammer out all the fine details, find the kids, brief them, and get them all on the right CSVs. Good God.

Thankfully, Chief walked down the corridor. One task down, four to go. "Andi! I've been looking for you. And these two must be Emily and Petey," He nodded in their direction. "But who is this one here?" Chief crouched down to Allie and waved to her. She immediately liked him.

"Her name's Allie. I found her and decided to bring her on the Caravaan. Now where are the children?"

He motioned us down the hall and turned us down a narrow hallway. We climbed a few flights of steps. When he opened the door, the walls were covered in a soft yellow paint, not the serious gray as the other floors. It was noisy in there.

"Kids! Let me get your attention!" Chief turned to me, "This is Andi. She's the head of the Christmas Caravaan. And beside her are Emily and Petey, the Second and Head Animal, respectively." They cheered ecstatically, but my glare got them silent fast.

He nodded to me, and I began my speech. "Alright, you will listen to me and the leaders, no matter what. Remember what number I give you, it's extremely important. And make sure to be quiet."

Emily came forward with the list and called each child's name. After about ten minutes, we had two lines. One for the third CSV and the other for the fourth.

It was a trial to get them all downstairs. But finally we got the children outside. Chief Malcolm motioned for the others to go, but pulled me over to the side. "Andi, this is no game. There are dozens of different dangers out there. Wild beasts, the weather, thief caravaans - especially the Shadow Caravaan. If you can't do it, just tell me. Don't be pig-headed and put these innocent lives in danger." Chief put his hand on my shoulder and I shook it off immediately.

I replied icily, "No need to be worried. I'm a big girl. I can handle this." He nodded sadly and told me good luck, but I had already walked off to join my caravaan just outside the gates. He was wise and kind, but sometimes just pissed me off.

Emily had gotten the children into the corresponding CSVs. The journey had begun, and there was no stopping us. I jumped into the cabin with Petey on the dashboard.

"Put the route on the graph, Petey, and start the clock."

*Sorry it's long. Everyone needs to start posting! pshhhoney and AyumiGosu need to post their second character. I have three characters up for grabs on the fourth page, and we still have spots left open in the Discussion Thread for characters. Get cracking!

Zoe

Zoe glanced around the CSV. She was sitting on the bottom bunk bed that she had claimed as her own. All of the other children were confidently exploring the vehicle, but Zoe hung back. Zoe had to admit to herself, she was scared. Her entire future rested in the hands of this monster, this CSV. In a previous life, Zoe would be pestering everyone, trying to figure out the gas milage of the CSV. Zoe still wondered about it, but she decided against persuing the question. She didn't really want to know.

Zoe looked around the CSV again. She sucked at making friends, but that was exactly what she needed. A kindred spirit.

Carey – Second in Command of Shadow Caravaan

Carey stepped inside the CSV, shaking off the snow that had gathered on his back. Horosc glanced up from his laptop.

“Report?”

“There’s a small village about six miles from here. Looks like it still has some food left in it.”

Horosc rolled his eyes. ”Look at us,” he muttered. “Scrambling for food in the middle of this snowy wasteland. We should be taking hostages, getting ransoms…”

“And where do you propose we reach a human?” replied Carey casually. He was used to this speech; Horosc was not satisfied with just surviving. Carey reached into the refrigerator and grabbed a soft drink. He attempted to open it, before tossing it aside irritably.

“Frozen,” he spat. Horosc gestured to the can.

“Bring it here,”

Carey tossed it over to Horosc. Horosc glared at the can for a moment, before the top burst open and steam rose from the inside.

Carey glanced at it distastefully. “Hot Coke?”

“Are you complaining?” growled Horosc.

“Wouldn’t dream of it,” said Carey slyly, before striding briskly out of the CSV. Horosc had been Number One on the Most Wanted list before the Freeze, and for that Carey had a grudging respect for the man. Sometimes, though, Horosc expected too much from this deformed planet. While Carey was content to wait patiently for the big break he knew would come, Horosc demanded that the Caravaan move every couple of days, looking for more human life. Like any human could survive without aid in this wasteland, Carey thought derisively. He sipped his steaming Coke thoughtfully.

“What the heck is that?” asked a feminine voice from behind him. Carey turned. A tall, commanding female stood behind him, her nose wrinkling at the smell the Coke was giving off.

“Warm Coke,” replied Carey, smirking. “Courtesy of Horosc.”

Morana shook her head. “Why is it warm?”

“He unfroze it for me,”

Morana snorted. “I’ve got to go; he’s expecting me to report.”

“Good news?”

Morana gave him a pained expression. “What do you think?”

Carey nodded. “Have fun…” he commented snidely.

Morana snorted again, and walked into the CSV. Carey threw the Coke aside disgustedly. He stuck his hands into his pockets and walked off into the distance.

Allie

Andi had warned her not to annoy the older kids, but Allie didn't care. She had been on the caravaan for weeks without any other children.

She padded back toward the CSV. All of the other kids had gone to explore the entire vehicle, but there was one girl left.

"Hi! My name is Allie, whats yours?" Allie's eyes looked at the girl questioningly.

"Zoe," The girl looked a tad bit uncomfortable, but Allie didn't care. In her mind, Allie had already made a new friend.

Petey

Petey carried out his orders, though his mind was elsewhere. He waited around for further orders, flying around a bit for exercise, whistling an old tune. Eventually, his agitated state became clear to Andi.

"Is something wrong, Petey?"

"What? Oh," he stopped flying, landing on the dashboard, "no, there's nothing wrong, I was just bored."

"Oh. Okay."

Andi proceeded to work as she had been doing earlier.

"Shall I...I don't know..." Petey mumbled, "check on the children, or something?"
I refuse to acknowledge the existence of this signature.

Zoe - Age 13

Zoe glanced back at the young girl staring expectantly at her. "So," said Zoe after a moment's hesitation. "Where are you going?"

North Pole," replied the girl cheerily.

"I see," muttered Zoe, her voice cracking uncomfortably. She cleared her throat. "So am I."

"Really?" the Allie asked excitedly. Zoe nodded, unsure of a reply. Allie flashed Zoe a brilliant smile. Zoe smiled back, softly.

[Stevey - Age 14]

Stevey's legs were acting of their own accord, bent on sprinting him on, around, between, all over the Caravan. His thoughts were repeating over and over and over, screaming to him a comfirmation that the Christmas Caravaan was finally there.

Despite his attempts to reign his happiness and stick with the younger kids, he'd completely abandoned his group and was scurrying underfoot like an overexcited puppy.

He still couldn't believe that he was finally out of the redundant monotounous icechunk he'd known for too long- and off on a crazy, dangerous adventure at that! In his mental excitement, Stevey realized he wasn't even paying attention to where he was going.

Or at least he realized that he wasn't paying attention when he slipped on a patch of ice that had snuck on board with the weather and landed flat on his back, breathing heavily. For a moment, the only thing in his line of vision were dancing patterns against his eyelids, but when he opened his eyes a wood ceiling lay before him.

Entranced for a moment by the way the lines swam in his vision, Stevey didn't notice the two girls leaning over him- one he knew, the other a very excitable looking kid that was unfamiliar.

"Hey , how's it going?" Stevey grinned up at his audience automatically, forgetting that from his current position it was a rather odd question.

**directed at Allie and Zoe, if that's okay**

Allie

She giggled, and Zoe looked uncomfortable.

"Hia! I'm Allie!"

"Hey," the kid said, rubbing his neck. "I am Stevey. Where you guys headed?"

"North Pole," Allie chirped.

*Sorry, all I had. Hey moon, can you throw in some action? It is getting a tad bit boring. <3*

Zoe - Age 13

"North Pole? Really?" asked the boy, Stevey.

"Yeah," said Zoe. Her eyebrows furrowed. "Uh, do you need some help?" She glanced hesitantly at Stevey's position.

Stevey looked at himself and laughed. Zoe felt a smile growing on her lips. She stretched out a hand to him. He pulled himself up.

"Sorry," said Stevey. "Didn't catch your name... What was it?"

"Zoe," said Zoe automatically.

"Hi, Zoe."

"Er - Hi."

"So," Stevey began, looking around himself. He turned back to Zoe and Allie. "What do you want to do?"

"...Do?" asked Zoe after a moment's pause.

"Come on," replied Stevey genially. "They can't possibly explect us to sit around all day doing nothing, can they?"

Zoe shrugged. "I... guess not..."

Suddenly, Zoe narrowed her eyes. She squinted over Stevey's shoulder.

"Who's that?" she asked quietly.

Hey everyone! I'm sorry I haven't posted in forever, but it can't be helped...I think we might have lost AyumiGosu, so I'm making her character on the death list unless anyone feels like making the character neutral?
