Lincoln
He noticed the other hunters watching Blair, one or two of them taking a step closer to him, hands on their weapons. He glared at them, and they stopped where they were.
Lincoln moved to Blair's side, "Blair."
Blair didn't turn, his eyes still fixed on the retreating plane, "Lincoln."
They stood like that for a long moment, before Lincoln couldn't hold himself back any longer, "What the hell do you think you're doing, Blair?" His voice was level, the apparent calm behind it being enough for Blair to know just how pissed off Lincoln was.
Blair spun to face him, "You think you understand what this is about, Lincoln? Do you honestly think I wanted to do that?"
Lincoln shrugged, "I know you, Blair. You're not the type to do something you wouldn't want to."
"You really think that just because you were the one who found me after she died that you know me. Lincoln, I am doing this because I'm in love with Serena, and Zire might be my only way to get her back. If you can find another way, I'll turn my back on the war. Until then, unless you're going to kill me, I've got to go hunting."
Lincoln watched him walking back in the direction of his car, hoping to God that Zire had been telling the truth when he'd said killing a vampire would change them back. He needed to find Serena. He sighed, I hope this works. Blair'll never forgive me if it doesn't.
