The ex-werewolf was getting to his feet. She took the oppertunity of his hands being occupied to kick him in the ribs. He instantly cried out and dropped to the ground, trying to drag her with him. He managed it.
Jimmy was instantly behind her helping her stand up. But he wouldn't let go. She felt her leg go numb before the sickening crunch catalized the pain. She screamed. She saw the knife on the floor and grabbed it as Jimmy tried to free her. Pushing him aside for a moment she jabbed it into the man's side.
Colt grabbed Tristan in one hand and ran back in the room to see Caiden on the floor. He pulled her quickly away from the guy who was now bleeding and looked her over putting Tristan in her arms.
"Just relax, we'll get you to the hospital. Jimmy, deal wtih him." He said picking her and Tristan up. "We can't have you have a broken leg, and carrying a baby." He smiled softly.
Colt nodded. Tristian turned his head to Caiden and reached his arms otu a little. "Looks like someone wants momma." he smiled lifting Tristan up and handing him to Caiden. "I'll feed her." He grabbed a bottle and started feeding the girl in his arms talking to her softly.
The day, which was one of the first of spring, cheered even me by the loveliness of its sunshine and the balminess of the air. I felt emotions of gentleness and pleasure, that had long appeared dead, revive within me. Half surprised by the novelty of these sensations, I allowed myself to be borne away by them, and forgetting my solitude and deformity, dared to be happy. — Mary Shelley, Frankenstein
